DR HUME JOHNSON is an Associate Professor of Public Relations and a branding and communications strategy consultant. She helps leaders build their personal brand, clarify their messages and communicate effectively to the media and key stakeholders.

A former broadcast journalist, and political speechwriter with the Government of Jamaica, Hume has worked with a diverse range of clients including political candidates, elected officials and diplomats; senior corporate executives, entrepreneurs and business leaders, diplomats, entertainers, and attorneys-at-law.

A noted political scholar and analyst, Hume is the author of 3 books: Challenges to Civil Society: Popular Protest and Governance in Jamaica; Brand JAMAICA: Re-imagining A National Image and Identity and Brand YOU: Reinvent Yourself, Redefine Your Future, as well as a plethora of journal articles on various aspects of governance and civil society. She has appeared on BBC World News, NBC 10, CBS, Al Jazeera, CBC, O’Globo, Jamaica Gleaner, Jamaica Observer, Radio Jamaica, Television Jamaica and CVM Television.
