Purchased the Champion model 100559 because of necessity related to the PGE in California “planned” service interruptions. Order date was 10/21/19- arrived 10/28/19. (How about that!)
I feel very fortunate to have found this on Amazon and did hesitate at first (was not sure it could be shipped to Cali) but then pulled the plug and am very happy I did.
Our local tractor supply does stock the Champion products but not the 100559, and after careful consideration I knew what I needed and wanted plus the price was extremely affordable. The time of use read out for example was a huge plus, the 4.7 Gallon gas tank with 12 hours of run time, the plug options etc. This was the one.
Follow instructions and set up is a snap, I believe the Champions have a reputation of starting on the second pull and that was my experience. The generator hummed without skipping a beat for hours on end. In all I already put 14 hours on it (oil change at 5) and absolutely no issues. Primary used powering a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and evening fun with Xbox and a 55 inch TV. Minimum cycle time was 4 hours for the fridge.
If I can answer any questions regarding ease of use please do not hesitate to ask. Also the Champion 100559 is 3500 watts and that is plenty for everything I mentioned above.
