It is well written, the chapters flow easily, and the advice is clear and concise. You can start putting the tips into practice now. Not tomorrow or when you finish the book, but literally as soon as you read the first chapter. Some advice may seem repetitive, but I suspect it's only because the author wants to drill some things into our head.
One chapter in particular, about goals vs purpose, gave me pause, and made me literally rethink my life. I am not a professional athlete, but a lot of the advice in this book applies to all of us. It's not only about building skills for a successful career in sports. It's about building skills for a successful life. So go ahead and read the book, and even if you commit to apply only a coupe of these tips, you will be committing to improving yourself.

As i first started out coaching i felt great, i was optomistic and positive about coaching and the difference that i was making in young boxers lives. I decided to complete a degree in sports coaching as well as completing sport specific qualifications to better myself and be as proactive as possible. Things suddenly took a dark turn for me as the people who were mentoring me realised that i was more proactive than they were and as a result they turned on me. I was not expecting this resistance and to be supressed and held down by others. Thankfully i always loved to read and heard about Allistair who has inspired me through his books. Allistair proved to me that coaching wasnt about reps and set but more so about your ability to communicate with people in a way that they understand.
Champion minded has grown me not only as a coach but as a person. Recently i was in work and met the parent of a child i teach and she was reading champion minded. She was an accountant and that again proved that Allistairs books can be applied to any role in life and not just coaching.
I am very grateful to have been in a position to obtain and read both books, i have grown from them and as a result i am a better person and coach.
Thanks Allistair :)

#ChampionMinded is a complete reference to Excellence, High Performance, and sheer liberation of mind and soul from all the mental distractions.
We developed 'Controllables Score Card' after learning from Allistair's posts even before this book was released. Now while our amazing tennis players worry about scores, we need them rate their Body Language, Humour, and Class (in accepting any results after giving their all).
