With just enough backstory to allow the reader to understand the mindset of each man, the author makes us feel the heartache and pain they suffered at the hands of those who should have cherished them. The romance is no easy, quick insta-love. The author allows them to learn each other and take their time in drawing closer together.
Ethan lightens Jack, and Jack grounds Ethan. They are written for each other, true, but they are also believable in their imperfections and quirks.
The intimate scenes are well done and lift this story from sweet to passionate.
Luca and Frankie are interesting characters who deserve a story of their own.
I will read more from this author.
We feel their inner conflict and thoughts, and learn how their pasts shaped them. Jack and Ethan are each interested in more from their kiss. And their hot, sizzling sex is explosive, thrilling, and filled with deep emotion. A lasting love is blooming. We see them work sisde by side to figure out the shop finances and Ethan is so unhappy to lose his job. How will it work out?
These guys sure did deserve the love and the chance to try.
I recommend this cute, warm, emotional romance !
This was a sweet and not-so-quick read for me. I spent some good hours reading it.
The characters were likeable, both going through some important loss and trying to deal with it as they best could. Of course, when they finally meet, the first impression doesn't go as well as it was supposed to. Ethan has the hots for Jake and Jake is lust-struck when he sees Ethan but their encounter south when they begin to talk. I liked Jake more, Ethan was a bit too judgemental for my taste and quick to make his mind. This is a slow-burn romance and there's no rush in things.
Overall, the story is nice. There's no drama but a few misunderstandings and lack of communication between the characters that will keep you entertain for a few hours.
The uncertainty that both characters face is interesting, but the best thing is watching how they go about it handling it in different ways.
I greatly recommend that you give this wonderful book a read.
