I received this for a honest review. Nancy Corrigan does such an amazing job writing. I just love her books.

Sean was this handsome werewolf. He was upset that Nic had left and that he might have to carry on the Alpha role. Sean had been battling with his wolf. His wolf wanted a mate and that was the last thing Sean wanted.

Jenna Tanner who was a werewolf of the Tanner pack had been in the bar looking for a human to have some fun with. She did not her first time to be with a male of her pack. What she did not expect was to see some werewolf that looked like a sex god. Problem was Sean was not giving her the time of day.

Things get hot and heavy between Jenna and Sean. Things are said that could hurt the situation. Both parties will have to decide what they really want. Can things work out between Sean and Jenna?

Short, sweet and worth every second of reading. I'm so happy Nancy Corrigan decided to write this "installation". Especially after reading about Sean in the first one.

Sean is newly matured and fighting his wolf for control. Mainly because Sean is confused on whether or not he'll have to take over the Kagan pack since Nic has left the pack, escaping his own feelings regarding the Mate he really wants (Kagan Wolves 1). But I digress...

While trying to calm his wolf with a night by himself in a bar, Sean is blindsided by his instincts when he notices Jenna in the bar. Although he tried to avoid her, her pull was just too much to resist. Seems he wasn't the only one who was suffering from the moon's pull that night.

Jenna couldn't stop staring at Sean in the bar, but when he brushes her off, she does something stupid that could have put her in a rough spot if Sean didn't come to the rescue. And man oh man did he rescue her. Once the moon's pull was over, they could deny the fact that they were still drawn to each other.

Chance on love is the perfect title for this short. Jenna and Sean took that leap. Maybe we all should.

We are introduced to the Kagan wolf pack. It is a time when humans do not know that the wolf-shifters exist. Neighboring rival wolf pack Tanner is ruled by an alpha that believes the strong take what they want and if the weak die, they could not have benefited the pack anyway. Fortunately the Kagan pack protects their weak, but this creates a rival situation between the packs. During the full moon there is a one-hour period where alphas could be toppled and conception could occur. Mating can happen at any time.

We meet Sean who has not allowed his wolf out since he gained maturity a few months ago, and on this full moon his wolf is pissed. His friend Nic left the Kagan pack until his father is ready to pass the pack spirit as Nic had fallen in love with Riley a human and tried to mate, the failure had broken Nic. Another friend Noah, from Tanner pack had his mate die days after claiming her. Sean felt he was too young to seal his fate with a mate having seen these failures.
Sean goes to the human bar to drink his wolf into submission, when he smells an unmated fertile female who must be from the Tanner pack. Sean is apparently not the only one going through some monthly suffering. She is an arctic wolf, especially strong and perhaps an alpha-in-training. Will Sean succumb to this wolf who seems perfect for him? Will pack issues and/or personal issues intrude?

Love this introduction to the Kagan pack world. The strong heroine is especially appealing. The background and setting are perfectly delivered in a bite-sized delightful read. I’m looking forward to continuing this series.

Review originally posted on Reader's Edyn (Blogspot) ...

I’m not sure what to say about this book. There really isn’t much to say without retelling the whole thing. It’s fast … like read it in 30 minutes fast. So here’s the rapid replay. Sean is a mature, adult male wolf shifter who has been refusing his wolf side and resisting the pull to find a mate. The friends around him have had problems surrounding love and mating and it is not happening to him. He decides to wait out the pull of the moon in a bar, surrounded by humans, drinking the night away. Enter Jenna – super hot, female arctic wolf shifter with alpha attitude written all over her. Quick version, they try to resist, but the force is strong and so is their attraction. The next morning feeling are hurt … they didn’t even get each other’s names before jumping on top of each other. But whatevs! The “drama” enters when Sean has to convince Jenna that he didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. And that’s just about the gist of it. I mean, that and a lot of other predictable circumstances. Bottom line, if you enjoy quick reads with pretty much non-existent conflict and surface characters involving, but not limited to wolf shifters and erotic sexual scenes that can be read in the space of a few minutes … then this is the book for you. I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy it. I’m just saying it is weak as an introduction to a series. However, it has potential, so I would be likely to read a full length novel from this author just to satisfy my curiosity in what she does with less restrictive page count requirements.
