Change Rein follows the story of London and Branson. It is told in dual POV which is one of my favorites because I feel like I connect so much better with the main characters. I admired London so much. I connected to and related to her plight right off the bat. While her life was in disarray, London didn't let it deter her. She still got up and did what she had to do to try and put her life back together. It led her back to her family farm, which was in need of some major help. Enter Branson Tucker. They mysterious and sexy cowboy who needs a new home for his horses. I loved his relentless pursuit of London. He was both charming and sweet. I enjoyed seeing him be patient and helping tend to London's injuries (butt pillow and all). There were some really sweet and touching moments that melted my heart. The scene with Branson's mom brought tears to my eyes.
Of course, in true Anne Jolin fashion, there was a great cast of supporting characters. Branson had his assistant Charlotte, that woman was a piece of work and then some. London had her brother, Owen, the protector and her sister, Aurora. The things that came out of Aurora's mouth had me laugh snorting more than once.Read more ›
London was fantastic. Sassy with a backbone. And in a lot of ways humble. I didn't get the door mat feel at all which is always a plus.Branson was beautiful. I want me my very own cowboy.
If you want a sweet and sassy book with a lovely leading lady and a over the top sexy as heck alpha male....this is your book
London's character was my type of heroine. She was sassy but she had nothing but love to give.
Branson was swoon overload (in a good way)! That man could charm the pants off of anyone. He set his eyes on his woman and was determined to get her no matter what it cost!
I'm so excited to start the next book in this series and to see what's going to happen with London's brother Owen.
Branson is a little over the top. I mean, he creates this elaborate plan to get close to London even though he’s never actually met her in person. If I wasn’t shown what a good and decent guy he is, I may have found his action to be slightly psychotic. But, as it is, he’s just a driven man who is determined to get what he wants: and that’s London.
London was a dressage competitor – I say was, because she sort of had a life-altering injury, lost the Olympics, and hurt herself. It would be less humiliating if she didn’t have to carry around a butt pillow everywhere she went. For real, I was like, uhhh, get some fabric girly and make a cover for that thing. Poor girl.
The attraction between London and Branson is immediate and all-consuming. They’re both affected in a can’tbreathe kind of way and I ached for contact between them to relieve the tension. Branson is sleek and sexy, just like his prized horse, and London is sweet and sassy, ready for the ride.
It’s a short little read that was quite enjoyable and deeper than expected. Overall: 3.5 stars.
