But for some inexplicable reason, I found myself liking this young Heroine. She didn't whine much, and her relationship with her male best friend was endearing. I became immersed in the plot and found myself looking forward to turning the next page. Each character, and their relationships with each other, kept my interest. Add the supernatural species to the mix, and I was reading it right through to the end.
Which brings me to the end---which was a cliffhanger of sorts. I say "of sorts" for a reason. I hate cliffhangers, and will usually refuse to continue a series if that occurs in the first book of a series. However, and I thank the Author for this fact...she states at the end that she has enabled the next book to have a "Look Inside" option on the product page, which will allow a free look at the first 4 chapters in Book 2. Which in this case, gets the reader of Book 1 past the cliffhanger.
I wish all Authors would eliminate Cliffhangers completely. But if they do have an overwhelming urge to end a book with such irritating ploys--then allowing the reader to immediately get past the nasty cliffhanger with this free look at the next book is the next best thing. Bravo, and I will likely continue the series.
I'm sure that all 10 of these books are going to have my imagination working overtime the character 's of the story all seem to have something to offer to the tale .Can't wait to start the next book so instead of writing reviews I'm going to go .
If you chose to start this series you might want to consider just getting them all now you know just in case your Wi-Fi goes down they will be in your kindle.
I really liked ,Jayne, with her potty mouth and take no crap attitude. And her nerdy best friend who stuck right by her through everything. Something happens where they end up running away. Then, they meet a crew of people that they are going to get to know very well. An opportunity for them to make some money leads to a whole new magical experience for all of them. There are a lot of different fae in the book as well. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

I found this book thrilling and enticing. I was hooked as soon as I started.
My favourite character in the book was Becky, one of the runaways in the gang. She seemed like a good friend to have and I found myself wishing that she was my friend.
Although the book was one of the best that I have read in a long time, I found it slightly disjointed at the start, within the first few pages. I found myself having to re-read those few pages over to try to make sense of them. I can easily say that the writing got better as I got into the book.
That being said, I read it within two days and found it hard to put it down.
I Highly Recommend this book to everyone and can't wait to read book two.
Great story line and characters, it grabbed my interest within the first couple of chapters.
I can relate to Jayne in the fact that I feel as if I should be doing something different in with my life, if only my life would turn out like hers.
Looks as if she is about to have a great life. A few twists and turns along the way, love the other characters we meet along the way can't wait to see what they change into.
I would definitely suggest this to any one who is a fan of great fantasy books, it's easy to read and very well written.
Okay, it took me a while to get into this piece (something about Jayne rubbed me up the wrong way) but after I forced myself past that, I grew to love this kid: her sass, her fire, her filthy, filthy mouth(!). She's a brilliant little heroine and, unlike many others I've read across the genre, very real in that she shows vulnerabilities in a way that is truly vulnerable. She's a star and I'm hot for the next story in this series (still can't believe you ended it there!).
(im sorry im not great at explaining myself)
I have never read a fae book before but after reading the intro on this i thought id check it out, im so glad i did, i was completly hooked after the first half of the book..
The story wasnt at all predictable and i loved it - i was so in to it i couldnt put my kindle down anywere, ive read for 3 days straight and ended up dreaming about them too LOL
I loved the characters too - all of them had something too add and i wasnt disapointed with any of them or there involvement..
Every action had a point - everything was connected if you know what i mean - nothing in the story was there without a reason, which im glad off - ive read many books that forget characters or important things that happened and you always wonder what was the point of puting that in if it wasnt gonna add to the story - no fillers.. brilliant writing - not over detailed, just to the point and perfect for visualizing - rather than being 'forced' to see what the writer wants you to see - which is perfect for me as i like to imagine it in my own head rather than the writers..
There is no way you can read this book without wanting the next - the first is just the intro really, i would honestly share this book with anyone who i thought would be into it, im not one for shoving things down someone throat but if your into a little excitement, adventure and fantasy then i would say go for it - it'll hook you
well done to the lovely elle casey x
