Nice but difficult set up with Google Nest Routers...

I purchased these smart bulbs to use in an entryway so I can turn the lights on/off using my phone. I connected the bulbs inside the house first to make sure they worked before installing them outside. Getting them synced up to the app was difficult because it works on 2.4GHZ only...reason for 4 stars. I have a dual band Google Nest mesh network and the app wouldn't find or connect the bulbs unless the phone is on the same 2.4GHZ band. After downloading the SmartLife app:- I had to re-enable the 2.4GHZ WiFi only on my service provider router.- Unplug the Google Nest.- The bulbs have to be blinking for pair mode. If you take too long it stops. In order to get it back into pair mode you have to turn the light switch on/off 4-5 times waiting 2 seconds in between.- The automatic search to find the bulbs didn't work in the app so I had to add manually by going to the 'Lighting' section and selected 'Light Source (Wi-Fi)' in order for the app to find the bulbs.- Then I went through the next steps until I saw successful connection.- Once done, I tried the different settings to make sure everything was working as it should.- Then, I reconnected my Google Nest and disabled the service provider Wi-Fi.- Double checked that the bulbs still worked on the mesh system.- Then, installed them outside. The connection remained and everything works well.I was pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness of changing the colors, the brightness, turning off/on, etc. When in regular light mode, these bulbs are really bright. You can set a schedule for the lights to turn on/off whenever you want. These also work with Google Assistant, Alexa, and Smart Things.Once you get pass the difficulty of the set up/connection, these bulbs are a solid buy especially for the price. Hopefully they last long as described. I recommend.
