Simple with great sound. An on off switch and a volume knob, all you need! Pair this with an rca input switch and you have a stereo reveiver better than most. My main complaint is that the volume knob has no marks on it so you cant tell where it is set by looking at it. You have to manually turn it all the way down and back up again. I added a mark on the knob and now it works great.

Definitely not hifi legit but for the price it cannot be beat. I'm using this to run a pair of polk monitor 60's for my secondary home theater setup and it can drive them adequately. Not a huge challenge for 90db sensitivity speakers but given the price and size of this little guy it's kind of impressive. The voltage and amperage of the included power supply means this tiny little amp actually has a chance of delivering the wattage advertised unlike most amps at this price range. It's an excellent "cheap but good" amp for a budget setup. I've found the low end frequency extension of this amp can't match up to a decent receiver but at a quarter of the price compared to an entry level receiver it's definitely worth it if you just need decent power for a non critical listening setup.

OK, lived with it for a couple of weeks now, and am really very impressed. My background is a former budget audiophile who has been unable to set up a decent system for six years now- and decided to see what ChiFi is all about. Last system was vintage Amber Series 70 amp/Parasound preamp/NAD cd/Magnepan MMG and I'm comparing this to my memory of that.

I've paired this Fosi AudioTPA3116 based integrated amp with Q Audio 3010 speakers and a Chromecast Audio. The Q Audios are small enough so that I'm unable to judge lower region bass availability, and the ChromeCast Audio means that I'm still dealing with Spotify compression, but with those caveats here we go...

Very surprised at the available power and the control this had over the (small) speaker cones. Chose it because this board design appears to have more capacitors then others on Amazon, but I was used to having big cans in the Amber and was skeptical on it's high-current demand performance. At least with the small speakers I need not have worried, this sounds easy and effortless within it's smaller wattage environment. Don't sense the amp straining or playing catch-up with varied types of music. They say these things have around 90% efficiency, and it shocks me that there's this much push available from this tiny unit. If you're banging big speakers at high volume you may feel differently, but for normal/louder listening levels in a 300 sq ft room this just pours it out.

Transparency and presence are very good, with believable voices and instruments that have impact and some resonance. Sound staging and imaging are also good with easily located musicians in a reasonably wide area- that area is a bit shallow though, without great depth, and the musicians sound slightly distant instead of right there in your room. The important caveat here is the Chromecast Audio limitations. I believe that these areas are particularly affected by streaming through Spotify rather than a direct connection from a disc player or lossless audio feed and my issues may well have to do with the source.

The tonal quality does seem dry to me. Not harsh in any way, but vocals and stringed instruments particularly don't have the warmth that I prefer (very dry at first listen with typical improvement over time.) That being said, there's lots of detail here, and you can even hear a bit of breathing/fingering/striking. It's a more analytical approach, and really the amount of information available is extremely impressive for this price. I think this reflects the quality of the preamp that's in there, and that kinda leads to the idea that there's a very short signal path in this thing. With a really small board, no tone controls and only one input, seems to me that even though the chip is playing around with DSP in some way that I don't understand, there's a lot of 'straight wire with gain' positives here.

This does not sound like an expensive high-bias AB amp with a 10 pound heat sink. Don't expect that, but this is a much better than anticipated integrated amp that is of high enough quality to allow for enjoyable critical listening and is great value! It sounds considerablly better than a typical 1980s/1990s mass market receiver, and at this price it's a ridiculous bargain. Back in the Dino days, you would pay much, much more money to get this kind of sound quality. A great entry into higher-end sonics.

I bought this expecting this to be just a run of the mill amp, nothing special.... boy was I wrong! I'm using this to drive studio reference monitors in my mixing room and I can't believe how great this little amp is!! It has great clarity, it doesn't add any colour to the audio which is great for getting a good mix. The amp is powerful and doesn't distort, and the one thing that I am the most surprised about... there is no noise present (test by turning up the amp volume without any audio playing.... no hum of buzz present through the open speakers)!!

The physical size is smaller than expected (I see this as a good thing), and it has a well built chassis with good quality external components (toggle switch, volume knob/potentiometer, speaker connectors, etc). Very clean aesthetics which fits in nicely with all my expensive gear.

This little amp has literally transformed my studio sound.. all that from a $50-ish amp!! Super great value. You can't go wrong with this!

Incredible value and sound quality for a basic, no frills amplifier. It sounds great on it's own even without bass and treble adjustments, very nice well rounded sound, crisp clean top end with adequate lows and nice midrange on Klipsch RM 51 speakers. Those with mini monitor/small speakers might choose a unit with EQ instead or you can always add a sub with speaker level inputs . I chose this one as I am using a Douk P1 tube preamp with EQ but as a combination I've bypassed the EQ on the preamp as it doesn't need it. I've used the amp on its own however and I'm very happy with the sound quality. No hiss or hum, no pop on power up, doesn't heat up, build quality well above what you paid for. I have better equipment but find this unit extremely satisfying. I also have a Lepai 2020 and there's no comparison for sound and build quality. The Lepai sounds soft and lacks the definition, punch, attack and dynamics of the Fosi. Complaints? None at all regarding the sound and build quality. However the speaker posts are tiny and fiddly, they're the worst part of the unit, can't take a heavier guage wire (I'm using a 16 guage and it's tight), and tightening the terminals is difficult because they are small, cheap feeling and close together. Use banana jacks and all problems solved! Rubber feet are dollar store stick ons but they work fine. Who is this for? In my opinion, if you want excellent sound quality, have reasonably full range, good quality speakers (because this amp will do them justice for sure), single source, and want to be amazed for less than $50, this is it!

Excellent paired with smart TV

Still in the break in period, but so far so good. Connected to a smart TV via the variable audio outs so I can use the TV remote and/or my phone (when casting) to control volume. I've tried the amp with a couple different bookshelf loudspeakers (Dali Fazon and Usher S-520). First, connection was a breeze with banana plugs. I also tried wire with spades, which I could connect by going around the rear power cord on one side, and around the input cables on the other. I much prefer these binding posts compared to the pinch clip speaker connectors on other low-cost mini amps. Second, the amp is dead silent when not playing anything. Power light turns on when the amp is on, otherwise its off. Volume control is smooth with no introduced noise either.

Overall sound quality is very good, and the amp has no issue at all driving the speakers to higher volume levels with no distortion or strain. The sound is a little thin, lacking a bit on the bottom end, but I suspect this may improve as the amp breaks in. Even the mini-manual included in the box is a nice touch (there's very little to know, but it does present the information clearly, though you can tell the authors were not native English speakers).

Bottom line, I would not hesitate to recommend this product. For the price, it offers exceptional value. The perfect option if you're on a limited budget and tight on space.

Other thing, I dont know how they calculating "power watting", but it's not 50w per canal. About 20w and I'm generous. I have a 50w hifi amp (Rega BrioR) and it's day and night.

This is my second amp is for the first person being being washed for a hissing sound at all levels of volume. I bought thisamp over the usual recommended entry amp the Lepai because it appreciating much better and because of the higher per speaker power delivery. Use it with some Bookshelf speakers and it has no problem driving the speakers. and also, I use it to hook up my Karaoke speakers, you can see my video, I almost always use the amp at like 10-20% volume because this thing is extremely powerful and will push your speakers to a painful noise level. Honestly at 100 % Volume I think this can blast the paint off your walls. The ampures well machined with the simple on / off button and smooth volume knob. there is no noise when there is nothing playing and the amp is on, so that it's won't bother me when I am sleeping. I am using this amp in my dormitory audio setup for watching movies and listening to music. this powerful amp that is very good for media consumption.
