Not much better than my tv speakers

From many of the other reviews I read, I expected more. But in reality, the sound quality is a bit on the tinny side especially during dialogue... unless you turn the treble and bass down, but then it sounds no better than my tv speakers! Regardless, the bass, or lack thereof, leaves little to be desired. As a sound junkie, I almost can’t listen to music on this sound bar. It just cant capture the nuances of layered sound... and if you listen to music with lots of heavy bass, you will be disappointed.

**Update**

Wohome contacted me a few months ago and offered to replace my soundbar for free with a better quality soundbar since they no longer make the one I originally bought. The options they provided me were a 2.1 channel soundbar S99 with subwoofer here is a link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JCBX1X8 or the model S9930 with built-in subwoofer here is link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CHFSTH3. I chose the S9930 because I did not want to deal with an external subwoofer. In retrospect, I kind of wish I would have gone with the S99 because I love bass! However, the S9930 is a much, much better quality soundbar than the original S89. And, while it doesn't have the deep reverberating bass that I love so much, it does have a fair amount of bass considering that the subwoofer is built in. Also, it has HDMI-ARC, which is great because I have a new TV! It also has the option of 3D sound which is great for movies. AND, music plays so much clearer and has much more punch! Lastly, it is just a better built, bigger, heavier soundbar. For these reasons, I have changed my rating to 5 stars, especially considering that Wohome reached out to me and offered to replace my old one at no cost to me. They didn't have to do that. That's what I call great customer service!

**Update to the update** recently the soundbar started "clipping" whenever I'd watch something or even when I was using the remote control to switch between channels or apps. I did everything I could to trouble shoot is even resetting the soundbar to factory settings, but nothing resolved it. My t.v. is a brand new supports arc as does the soundbar and it only does it when the input the arc HDMI. The tv also supports Dolby Atmos as does my Apple TV 4th gen, which is also 4k HDR. All of this leads me to believe that the soundbar is just not powerful enough to handle Dolby Atmos sound through arc. I will most likely be purchasing a Dolby Atmos soundbar at this point because the clips have gotten so bad it's disruptive to whatever programming I'm watching so I don't even use the soundbar anymore. For this reason I will be dropping my 5-star rating back to a 3-star.

Decent sound quality for the price paid

In the cross-section, the soundbar is roughly a right triangle whose legs are 3.25" and the hypotenuse is 4". The back side of the soundbar has two mounting brackets (removable) that stick out, so, when mounted on the wall (or placed against the wall on a horizontal surface), the front edge of the soundbar will be approximately 3 7/8" from the wall. The width of the soundbar is 32". The control buttons and the line input (3.5 mm socket) are all on the right side of the unit.

PROS:
1. The full-range 3" drivers, which are bigger than the ones normally used in soundbars, produce descent stereo sound and bass for the size and the class of the unit.
2. Several inputs: RCA, 3.5 mm, optical, Bluetooth, plus a USB connector for playing audio from a flash drive. The package includes the necessary connection cables - optical, RCA, and the one with 3.5 mm jacks on both ends.

CONS:
1. The LED indicator is way too big and way too bright to the point that it can serve as a night light.
2. When turned on, the soundbar seems not to remember the previous level of volume. The input and the equalizer mode (Default / Music / TV / Movie) are remembered, though.
3. The bass/treble adjustments on the remote controller only work in the 'Default' equalizer mode. I wish I could slightly reduce the bass in the Movie mode, which I use most of the time.
4. Even at relatively low volumes, I can hear the sub-woofer produce some rattling inside the soundbar.
5. External AC/DC 18V adapter. I would prefer the power supply to be inside the soundbar, and the power cord to go directly to the AC outlet.

Disclaimer: I use this soundbar instead of PC speakers on my computer desk, and only play audio at relatively low volumes, and for this purpose the soundbar serves quite well.

This is the update: After seeing my review, the seller contacted me to see if they could send me a replacement. I accepted. The new unit works well, so the first unit was bad. I think it is possible that it was damaged in shipping. It is not packaged robustly. The new bar sounds pretty good. It still is not close to theater quality, but for the money, it does very well. No more being afraid to use bass or volume on the new speaker. Fantastic service, but the rating is for the sound bar. The seller gets a five star review. The original is below.

I have had to set my TV output to a flat equalizer because the bass is so bad. When I first turned the sound up some, there was a BAD rattle from the speakers. Thinking it might be the stand it was sitting on, so I picked the bar up. It still rattled. The rumble came from the case of the soundbar itself. If I leave the equalizer flat and the sound to mundane levels, the rumble hardly ever happens. Otherwise this bar is almost useless for what I wanted; good sound for a theater experience with action movies. There is no sub output, so I can't upgrade it. I will have to find something else.
