Channel Master distribution amplifiers, manufactured by Channel Master's former parent company, PCT International, one of the leading manufacturers in the cable telecommunications industry, will boost your digital TV and HDTV signals, increasing their overall signal strength. They have a miniature design which will give you more space to relieve congested installs when space is at a premium. Channel Master distribution amplifiers are professional grade and meet stringent US and international standards, including those developed by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), who creates international standards for many TV signal distribution products. Channel Master distribution amplifiers can be used in HDTV, CATV, off air, analog and digital RF distribution applications where high performance and reliability are required. The CM 3410 is a high quality ultra mini single output digital TV amplifier with passive return, which means the distribution amplifier does not have any amplification for signals in the return path frequency range (5 42 MHz). This frequency range is used in cable telecommunications networks to allow cable modems and set top boxes to communicate back through the cable network. Passive return amplifiers are the most commonly used in house distribution amplifiers by cable operators. Channel Master distribution amplifiers have precision machined F ports (conforms to SCTE standards) that are gold plated with beryllium copper construction to provide optimal distribution and amplification of your RF signals.

I installed the Channel Master amplifier outside our house where the old splitter was. The housing is nice and weatherproofed. I purchased a longer 25' coax cable to power the unit so that it would reach an outlet on the outside of our house; I plan to permanently power it via an outlet in the crawlspace though.
Immediately after connecting everything up, all of our weak and pixelated channels came in clearly! I'm amazed at how such a simple fix resolved all of our issues with weak signal and poor-quality splitters. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to overcome degraded signal due to splitters or too many TVs hooked up to the splitter.
This splitter/amplifier has made a huge difference in our OTA reception. The box contained the signal amp/splitter, an AC converter for power, a 6' RF cable to go from the AC converter to the unit and instructions.
We got a new TV and were having some trouble with weak signals and pixellation, which was variable. The signal seemed to be affected by the many trees we have around the house and there is an approximately 60 foot run of coax cable from the roof antenna to the TV location.
As soon as this was plugged in (a 3-4 minute process) the improvement was apparent immediately. Although we are not 100% problem-free, I’d say there was a 90% improvement in signal strength, and clarity of the picture.
Occasionally, especially at night or in bad weather, there are intermittent problems when large vehicles go by on the road; and we are about 10 miles from an airport so I think we may be getting some interference from planes taking off and approaching. I don't think there is much I can do about that. (Never had a problem with analog TV though!) But most of the time watching is a pleasure.
I would definitely recommend this item, it’s a real bargain problem solver at the price. See picture for what's in the box.
Ok so I say all that to say I have some loss through the cable and splitter. I picked up 20 channels initially but there were only a few that were "stable". I need local channels for football season so that was not going to work.
Bought this small but sturdy amp, placed it upstairs directly from my cheapo antenna and gained 10+ channels but more importantly stabilized the channels that were scrambled. Easy setup and easy solution.
