If you want it to stay in one spot in the air, it's stable enough to hold it's position in a very small area. If you crash it, it's durable enough to survive most impacts. Just remember to cut the throttle if you're about to crash or hit the ceiling, otherwise you might damage the main rotor shaft.
You can't fly this outside because it's controlled by infra-red. Direct sunshine will cause you to lose control of the helicopter.
This is a 3-channel helicopter for beginners. After getting the hang of it, you can get a 4-channel helicopter then a 6-channel helicopter. I don't recommend getting a 2-channel helicopter because they're unlikely to be as stable as this helicopter is.
I'm in my 20's and I have three of these suckers. There is something about a little helicopter that really flies that just puts a smile on my face.
The battery life is great considering the price and if you want to take the time to remove the spring from the throttle control it is wonderfully precise.
Definitely and indoor only toy, good news is that despite many crashes my walls remain largely unscathed and my little helicopters keep on flying.
Great fun for all ages. Anyone can pick up the controller and be flying with ease in seconds.
Speaking of non broken pieces, I should mention it is definitely an indoor chopper. I took this outside once and it was a quiet, calm night. Chopper gets airborne and then SWOOSH it shoots about 20 feet in the air. I felt no breeze at all, but I guess the wind doesn't have to be strong to take this thing to the moon. It knocked into a power line and I thought great, here comes the spiral of doom, but the fall was so far I practically had time to recover it. Hit the ground a decent speed and I went to inspect. Not a single chip, bend, or crack.
And then taking it outside you have issues with trees, wind and rooftops. You take your chances.
they last about 10 mins per charge and take an hour to recharge....I ugraded the batteyr on one unit and found it was only slightly better like 12 mins maybe i would reccomend just sticking w the factory battery
