"Finally some books that not only have a wholesome theme, but a great storyline and pictures that put [kids] into the scene right from the front cover. Where has this little Channing been all along?! Can't wait for future chapters; soon, we hope!" —Tom Lynch, president, Giving Back to Humanity

I laughed, learned some things and now want to go turquoise hunting.
I liked the characters. Maddy, Channing and Cooper found a interesting rock by the playground during recess. They are going to dig it up. They are learning about rocks in school. About the different Indians that lived here in the past and now days.
The kids share their knowledge and are having fun till Channing's older sister makes fun of her with her friends.
Channing likes to draw all the times and keeps a pencil in her ponytail. Her family encourages her to learn and explore her talents.
Their is even a pet pig in the story.
It is a entertaining book while they are learning about rocks, history, museums, even dinosaur bones.
The drawings are good and help the story along the way. Tammie Lyon dose the Illustrations.
I was given this ebook and asked in return to give honest review of it.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This story keeps the reader’s interest from start to finish. It narrates many events and interactions that children in the target age group will be able to relate to. It also has moral messages included within the story that are clear but integral to the story and not forced or artificial. There’s lots of information shared about turquoise and Native Americans, especially their art, too - I learnt a lot from reading this story! I think this will really appeal to children and is a lovely way of helping them learn. There is extra information in the “Did you know” section and website addresses for anyone wishing to find further information. Teachers, I really recommend you check this out both as a reading book for children and an interesting way to share information about Native Americans.
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
