Then it got here and I tried it on. HOW DO THEY MAKE A BRA LIKE THIS? I don't even know. All I know is that this bra is amazing. I have worn it almost every day since it got here a month ago and I need to wash it, but I don't want to stop wearing it. Guess I'll have to buy another one. OH DARN.
This is a very well made bra. The construction is top notch, the fit is incredible, the support is unbelievable. (There may be antigravity thingies installed in the cups. I'm not sure, but I have my suspicions.) I am amazed at how incredible this bra makes me look. It takes at least 15lbs off my frame and really enhances my bust and overall figure. This bra is likely the result of witchcraft and black magic but I don't care. I'm ordering another one.
I went in wearing a 40D from kohls and left with FOUR Chantelle bras in 36H. They are beautiful, supportive, comfortable, well fitting, and more. And the best part-- they give me a better waistline! The lift and support defines my torso and makes me look thinner.
I'm a cheap person but after trying on these properly fitting bras there was no way I could go back. Worth every penny!
I will buy Chantelle from now on ❤️
It's difficult to find pretty bras that actually do what they should, if you're over a C cup and I am grateful that Chantelle remains in that portion of the market.
Anyway, I think I need to go up a cup size as well because I have a bit of a bulge in my upper breast where the bra ends, but I'm just going to keep it and finish this pregnancy with it because soon enough my size will be changing again as I adjust to breastfeeding and whatnot. This is a bit of a pricey product to have for such a short period of time but it's a worthwhile investment, and I'll probably get another after I return to a stable size post-pregnancy.
So all in all, if you have always worn "weird" sizes (aka small waist, large breasts) I'd give this a try for sure! Once you find the right size I think you'll be pleased with it but give yourself some time to find that right size. I wish I could go to a store and try a bunch of sizes on but sadly I don't have that option so I will just continue to deal with the exchange process for now. It seems to minimize the size of my breasts (which is always a good thing in my opinion) and as long as I don't wear a really high-cut top I don't notice any bulges. or seams. It also seems to smooth any back fat which is also a big plus! AND this is a full coverage bra in the sense that my boobs don't touch in the middle, I HATE when that happens. It took a little getting used to wearing this but now it's my go-to!
Hold and support was better than expected, especially since it is not reinforced with padding.
Slightly minimizes bust, which is great for plus size or big busted.
Sexy, I wouldn't mind it peaking from my shirt a little bit.
The lace feels durable - would still follow washing instructions.
Very comfortable fit - not something you usually find paired with sexy.
It can 'scallop' because of lace edges, making a slight bulge so know your size. This is for particular shirts/styles/cuts. I wouldn't call it a t-shirt bra. I find it to be better suited for scoop line and waisted dresses, low cleavage shirts and anything that is a little more binding at the top that you need your breast to fit in - it will do the trick.
Straps are thick (3/4 an inch est.) and I personally just prefer skinny straps. Otherwise, I don't mind that at all.
