ONE WOMAN, ONE BEER, ONE SCREWDRIVER needed for ONE GRILL ASSEMBLY
on August 13, 2015
One woman, one screw driver, one beer needed to put together one grill! It took me about two hours, probably a little less. Opened the package at 3:00 pm and were grilling chicken for dinner. I was actually pretty impressed with how easy it was to assemble. The directions, not much of a surprise, were not great. Lots of screw holes to put the front panel on and didn't have them lined up right the first time. (Why the extra holes?) The side pieces for prep and burner were surprisingly sturdy and liked the ease of putting together and tightened down wonderfully. Pros: Easy to put together, tighten so grills is solid and sturdy, grill plates and lid are solid, comfortingly heavy, and most importantly works great, heats evenly! Cons: Plastic, so plastic are the wheels, just feels hokey. Of course the most "hokey" aspect is the nob you have to attach for extra burner (all the other nobs are installed), the back piece is the flimsiest material (they should probably assemble themselves so you wouldn't notice) and it is a tiny bit difficulty to hold assembly unit in place, hokey thing, and then screw in. (I had to do it twice because I put it on upside down - just look at other nobs to match up, like I did the second time!) The nob itself fit snugly into place, but still would have like the nobs themselves to be more solid, especially since those are the pieces you use a lot. The wire to hook up to the side burner was slightly worn, I think that was because I rubbed against another piece while assembling. It pops right into the top burner, not exactly snug, but didn't seem to have any problems. The starter piece went in and lights quickly (if you put the battery the correct way), feels solid for its plastic look. My husband really likes it and feels like it is more than worth the price. Just hope it stands the test of time!
