Think small - but grill big - with the convenience of America's favorite grill, now available in different sizes! Char-Broil's TRU-Infrared Gas Patio Bistro 360 has been updated in design as well as performance, offering full-sized grilling in an easy-to-use unit that's designed for use in smaller spaces. The Patio Bistro is ideal for those who live in smaller homes without the space for larger grills; this gas grill is sure to turn any terrace, deck, or balcony into a private bistro. Thanks to its compact design, the Patio Bistro is also perfect for use on boats - there's no fresher, better-tasting fish than when you grill the catch of the day on deck! With oven-style, electronic ignition integrated into the gas control knob and a 550-degree Fahrenheit temperature gauge, the Patio Bistro gives you complete command over the TRU-Infrared cooking system's wide temperature range, from low and slow roasting to extremely hot searing heat. Two burner yield 21,000 BTU's of grilling power, heating up quickly to grill delicious fish, chicken, vegetables and more whenever you so desire. With 500 sq. in. total cooking space, the Patio Bistro 360 has enough space to cook for a large party of guests! The porcelain-coated stainless steel cooking grate offers 360 sq. in. of primary cooking with an additional 240 sq. in. of secondary cooking on a convenient warming rack; this warming rack sits higher up inside the grill, providing space to keep faster-cooking foods, like veggies, warm and juicy while the rest of the food finishes cooking. The durable, high-temperature porcelain finish helps to extend the life of your Patio Bistro - plus, the premium cooking grate is dishwasher safe and a snap to clean. As with all grills, we recommend keeping the firebox clean and using a grill cover to protect your investment. Minimal assembly required; grill measures 42.6"W x 25.6"D x 39.6"H and is designed for use with 20 lb. propane cylinders.

One upfront advantage of the Infrared heating was reduced flare-ups. That got my attention! And I can see that it does help minimize them, based on the different sheilds that are in place to create an evenly heated cooking surface. I'm not sure we taste the overwhelmingly 'better' grilled flavor that the marketing would have you believe, but a safer grill is more than a fair exchange for a little extra 'sizzle' the marketing department may be feeding us.
It was realatively easy to put together. I'm not a handy person and was not looking forward to making my grill, but it was a somehwhat enjoyable experience. The parts are all labeled very well, and if you follow the directions, you'll be grillin' in no time!
The size is just about right for my family of four. I also like that the sides fold down so you can have additional space for plates or a bowl of bbq sauce, and drop those down when you want to store it against the deck. And it feels SOLID! This is pretty heavy and seems like it will stand up to the elements without issue. We'll probably bring it in during the winter anyway, but we really like the build quality.
The tempature gauge is new for us and we really like knowing how hot the grill is. VERY helpful. The one thing I don't like about this grill, is that it it's hard to tell when it's lit. The grate covers the flame so well, that you can't see if the burners are lit unless you look inside the back hole of the base, and check for the flame. I guess this is a necessary evil and the trade-off is more even heating and reduced flare-ups. That's a trade-off I'm willing to make if it keeps me from singing the eyebrows off my head, or blowing the deck off my house.
Additional bonus, the burner controls look like a smiley face. Subliminal message? :)
This is a nice grill for many reasons,1.fairly large grill area,2.Heavy Duty for the price point,3.heats fast and cooks well,4.While the side tables are not too sturdy, they certainly work to hold my LED lanterns. For the price, this grill rocks!!!
Issues; when I first seasoned the grill metal flakes came off the grate, not sure what it was, I sent a quick email to char-broil, they contacted me within an hour and agreed to send me out a new grate no charge /. Great customer service. Still not sure what the metal flake was about but I have a spare. Other issue as others have mentioned the holes on the grate are so small nothing gets thru, juices or anything else, yes it didn't allow for flair ups but marinades or meat juices just sat there.. Didn't like that at all so I took a flat screw driver and wedged it in the grill slits and enlarged them. I may get an occasional flair up if using a really greasy burger, but love the way the grill now cooks. If I didn't do this I probably would have given the grill 3 stars. No side burner but I use a cast iron pan on the side the meat isn't on and no problem.
Perfect grill for 2-6 people.
