But the description didn't describe the difference between the standard and deluxe...
The important difference is that the deluxe comes with a push button lighter/starter, whereas the standard does not.
For the standard, you are required to hold match/lighter in a slot at the bottom of the grill to light. Not terrible, just slightly inconvenient.
I've cooked everything from some basic weenies to thick cut sirloin steaks. This little guy will cook everything for you!
It's great to be able to fire up the grill and have dogs or burgers ready in 10 minutes, use it to cook garlic bread (wrapped in foil, don't forget to turn it every few minutes cooking on the "low" setting), cook up a tri-tip / chicken legs / rib eyes (up to four Costco steaks on the grill at once), or even wrap the grill in foil and use it to cook marinaded boneless / skinless chicken thighs. It's pretty amazing what these grills can do if you use your imagination and keep an eye on it.
When my family goes skiing, we agree to meet at the car for lunch and we grill dogs while having chips and a beer. I figure the first lunch we had with this new one paid for it compared to buying lunch for five at the lodge.
Now, understand, I'm not saying this is as good or as useful as my full size weber, but you just can't beat it for the cost.
As others have mentioned, it took 30 - 45 minutes (and a decent set of tools) to get it put together. It shouldn't take hours or require a degree from MIT, but don't plan to put this together at the park 10 minutes before starting to cook lunch for your family either.
It lost one star because the bolts included for attaching the handle to the lid were to short and I needed to go buy longer ones at the hardware store.
