These are easy to load and to handle on the grill. After grilling with them (because of the marinade, etc.) I was concerned about whether they would be hard to clean.
They were not. They cleaned up easily with minimal work. I did soak them overnight because I was too tired to finish washing up! I don't think that made much difference, though.

We love these. we grill constantly and sometimes you want cubes of meat of cubes of veggies and more often than not we completely forget to soak the wood skewers for kabob's. Plus the amount of time it takes to load up skewers, even metal ones. We have kids and no one has time for that! This changed our life. The baskets are so easy to load and as long as you have a grill glove they are easy to manage on the grill.
I give it four stars because they are a pain to clean. Especially if you are cooking meat, it sticks a little (not bad just a little), but all the cross bars, which are necessary i know, is where little bits of meat get stuck and it's hard to get it off. But at the end of the day we use these over any other method for kabobs and don't plan on looking back. They are awesome, and i highly recommend!

We love these as an alternative to using sticks or rods for a shish-ka-bob type meal. Everyone can pack in their preferred combinations then all can be cooked at once without having things fall off. And they seem small but hold a lot. Just watch the metal piece that holds the top piece on as it can break if not careful in cleaning.

I love that these can be used to customize your food-- my partner and I like different vegetables and we enjoy assembling and choosing what we want for the night. However, I suggest you pack these tight and consider how much you cut your food/ whether it will shrink while cooking because food has fallen through. I also think it gives a different taste than cooking in foil. You don't need to use much oil with these which also increases the healthiness of the food :)

These looked like a great idea but after trying them once it turns out they are too small to even fit a decent size mushroom without cutting it in half, and other vegetables will require alot of cutting down to size to fit in here. And after all that, you really can't fit much in, no way to serve more than about 2 - 3 people. The other issue I had was, you have to place them so that the handles stick outside of the grill, which means you can't lower the lid all the way, so you can't cook additional stuff where you might want to lower the grill lid. And finally, it turns out you can't return them if they are not un-used...so think twice before buying. I'm going back to my metal skewers.

These kabob cages keep veggies from falling into the grill, like they often do from sticks. Also good for fish, which can tend to fall into the grill, too. We have also repurposed them-we use them to roast vegetarian sausages over a campfire! Regular sausages will stay on a 2-pronged fork, but vegetarian sausages will fall off. Perfect solution to that problem!

Great idea and do stop food burning but...

I like haloumi cheese as part of my kebabs and the problem is it always gets burned on the edges before the chicken is cooked. So, I hoped that this was a solution!

Yes, it does help with that but two downsides for me are why only four stars:

1. You have to cut all of your ingredients to essentially uniform size cubes so that they fit in. I found using a Lego block as a guide helped (!) but it did make the preparation much longer, and there was a little waste from bits I had to trim to fit in.

2. Difficult to keep clean. They say non-stick but to be on the safe side I sprayed the insides with oil before I put the stuff in. Mostly the cooked chunks fall out with a bit of persuasion but bits are left stuck to the frames. Been through two dishwasher intensive cycles, left in soak and then dishwasher again, but still not really super clean.

I will persevere with them I think as the cooking of the kebab is better than I was getting with skewers.
