This is pretty much just a a nice display, and hopefully that's what you was expecting already. The problem is that in regards to its ease to use you'll need to attach that little piece to the Poke ball and then put it on the display, after that you'll feel that it does't sit that well and it feels like it isn't connected, but well at least for me it always worked, its just the feeling of it not being "plugged" correctly that makes it feel weird.You DEFINITELY DON'T NEED IT TO CHARGE YOUR POKE BALL PLUS, in case you got here thinking that this was the case. I only recommend this for those who might want to put your poke ball to display somewhere, after you stop playing the game, it does have some utility but if you find a better looking and cheaper display somewhere, I don't think that getting that one over this one would be a big deal.Overall, I just think that this should be cheaper

There’s really no way around the dongle, as the pokeball itself doesn’t have wireless charging functionality to begin with. Not a complaint of mine, but I saw some reviews that seemed to have thought it was wireless. This is also why I say it’s more of a novelty, as removing and putting back the single isn’t as efficient as simply having a cable, and losing the piece is possible.

I remember waiting for this when it first came out, but it was literally never in stock. Several months later I finally got one, I was hesitant due to so many bad reviews but learned that all the reviews are from ignorant people who didn't fully read the instructions.

If yours doesn't work, and you followed the instructions to an absolute T (Check youtube tutorials, really.) then I'm sorry yours had some issues - mine works great and it looks OK - I wish it came in black so it could match the switch dock/nintendo switch itself though - it feels like it stands out in a weird way with it being white - I also wish that this had some sort of light that would change colors when it's done charging, it's already hard enough to tell when these pokeballs are done charging (You just never know) and I've seen a lot of these chargers that have lights on them, but I really wanted this one in the end, still wish it included that feature though.

The only complaint I have is, even though the pokeball fits nice and easily into the charging stand - if I accidentally hit the stand or move it a little, the pokeball comes loose and stops charging. Thats a bit frustrating, but I just keep it in an area where I won't hit it now. I can feel there is a sort of "magnet" in it that helps lock it in place, but it doesn't seem strong enough however I'm not sure if a stronger one would cause damage in the end anyways!

Really great product, I do recommend it.

It says Poke Ball, plus a charger. But yet there is no poke ball. The packaging and this page shows a poke ball with the charger, but yet there is no poke ball included. The packaging displayed on this page does not indicate that the poke ball is not included.

You have to scroll down to the bottom of this page to see that it says poke ball is not included, it's like they are trying to hide this fact in the main product description next to product images. Even the content "From the Manufacturer" fails to mention that this product does not include the poke ball in the three-pane art work. The packaging does say the poke ball is not included on the back of the box, in tiny white print on a red background, but its not something that you can see on this product page, plus you have to actually "buy" this product before you are able to read the packaging. They do not have an items list on this page either to indicate what is included, that could have helped. It's like they are purposefully trying to mislead someone in to thinking that a pokeball is included, when it's not.

This company appears to be trying to mislead parents in to buying something with false expectations as to what is included.

They may be licensing the right to use Nintendo products, but it would be nice if Nintendo would require them to be more forthcoming as to what you are actually buying. If they are prominently using OTHER products in their advertising then they should equally prominently indicate that those items are NOT included instead of trying obscure those facts.

So how well does this product work? I have no clue because it did not come with a poke ball.

I will say i love that this used a usb charger because i just used the usb slot in my Nintendo docking set and it allows an adorable display next to the console.

The feel of placing my device on the charger brings me back to being 9 and playing pokemon Red and watching the anime and wishing I could be the very best, that no one ever was and i think that makes it worth having.
