    I have had more success and ease-of-use with less expensive products. A good friend of mine has a Ubiolabs pad that is lives out in his shed (in MN), and always works really both well on his Android phone as well as my iPhone XS. Recently I purchased a case that has a small leather strap on the back to make holding and using my phone with one hand possible, but unfortunately the distance it creates between the phone and the pad makes it even more challenging to establish a connection on the Mophie. The out-door-dwelling Ubiolabs model connected with no issues immediately.

    This is the second mophie wireless charging base in my house and I got it for my wife to use with her iPhone Xr. The new stream pad+ uses a micro USB cable vs the original on my iPhone X, which uses a barrel connector. Both pads work great. I specially like the led light is subdued so it does not disturb when placed on a nightstand.
    The first one I purchased almost two years ago along with my phone at the Apple store, and the second as the blue and yellow retailer.
    To those that may have an issue with a defective charger, just do a warranty claim. You still have th original cable that came with the phone so its no more than an inconvenience. I just checked the morphie website and it has a two (2) warranty, which nowadays is unheard of for electronics. Cheers!

    I have tried several wireless chargers. Some worked for a period of time and some never did work for me.
    I have an Iphone 11 with an Otterbox case. My first attempt to use it was very successful but only after a few charges it failed. I was disheartened. So I did a search on-line and found a posting where somebody reported that this happened to him but when he powered off and on it began to work again. So I tried that and lo and behold it worked. Since that time infrequently it fails so all I do is restart it and I'm fine.

    The only "gotcha" is that you have to make sure your phone is centered; otherwise it might not charge, or charge more slowly. It's not a flaw with the pad; it's just that, unlike a stand-type charger, there's nothing to lock your phone in the correct position. I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro Max. It's by my bed. Even if it's only a nap, it's pretty much fully charged in a couple of hours from VERY low.

    Highly recommended.

    So I got a replacement for this item and it’s actually working. Apparently I got a defective one. Replacement was easy, and hassle free. And I’m enjoying charging my phone when it’s just sitting there. I’m glad I replaced it! I don’t think it’s as fast but great not have to plug it in and out all the time. If it doesn’t work, replace it.

    Qi technology is crazy. Pretty awesome to charge cord free. Limits you being able to use the device while charging. But I’ll take calls on head phones will it sits on the charge pad. Definitely get the 10W. Seeming to make a significant difference than the 5W. The 10W charges fast, but have noticed it really gets the phone hot. It also seems to be pretty particular about where you have to place the device on the pad to initiate the charge. It’s easy to put it on there before noticing you’re doing absolutely nothing. There is an led indication that illuminates on the front of the pad to signal when a successful charge is occurring. Pretty cool, would recommend. Not the cheapest, but definitely a story anytime someone seems you charging that way. Mmmaaaaaagggggiiiicccc

    I got this charger because it was the slimmest design I could find and offered the 10w fast charge capability. It worked great with my new iPhone XR, but after a couple of weeks, it would get into a state where it'd continuously charge and stop, charge and stop, charge and stop, causing the phone to vibrate every few seconds as if it had just been placed on the charger. This prevented my phone from getting charged. I returned it and got a replacement. The 2nd one worked great for a couple of weeks, but then the LED light on the underside edge of the charger started blinking (which is supposed to mean there is a metal object on the charger which wasn't the case) and it wouldn't charge my phone anymore. At this point, I'm returning it for a refund and looking for a different charger. Very disappointed. Aside from the hassle, I really liked the design of this one, but it's too unreliable.

    ***UPDATE - Straight of of the box (the iPhone X and this charging pad) were super slow to reach a full charge so I thought the purchase was a waste. After trying to charge my iPhone X with the wire it came with, I found that the cable takes even longer than the charging pad. So this charging pad is faster BUT if your phone battery is LOW (in the red), it will take hours to reach a full charge (which is apparently expected from the iPhone X according to Apple users... ugh). Now if your phone battery charge is at 50% or more, the pad will charge it very quickly. What I dislike about the pad is that you cannot use your phone while it's laying there getting a charge. What I do like about the charging pad is that it is faster than the cable that comes with the phone. When I use the cable, even though it takes longer to charge the iPhone X, at least I could use the phone while it's charging. Based on spending a few days using each charging method, I have decided to keep this charging pad and although it's kind of cool to have, I'm not in love with it (but I do not want to return it either). I view it as more of an expensive toy that is cool, but not vital.***

    2 hours have gone by and my iPhone X only gained a 40% charge. I even removed my slim clear OtterBox Symmetry case because I was in rust for a fast charge (and it is a pain to get that case off and back on again). Followed the very tiny print directions. If I had just charged my iPhone the regular way I could have used my phone WHILE IT WAS CHARGING! This is a bust. I hope it can be returned without a penalty for the failed try.
