Let me first address the reason a Pixel owner would buy this: rapid charging. I have a Pixel 3. This adapter does trigger the "rapid charging" indicator. However, I would say it doesn't quite reach the speed of the Pixel 3 wall charger. It is still a worthwhile investment if you want faster charging in the car. You must use the USB-C port when charging the phone. I would absolutely buy it again if I needed another PD charger for my PIxel phone.
I did hesitate though...
The post that this adapter destroys your Pixel phone was concerning for me (might have been a few of them). I used it for about a month, watched and felt my phone after using it, to see if my phone was being fried by this adapter before I left this review. For me, there have been a couple times where it felt warm but it was infrequent. I am pleased to report that my Pixel 3 is still fully functional and I notice no problems.
It is awful that someone's phone was fried. I don't know what happened, maybe it was some electrical issue with the car or maybe a defective adapter. All I can do is say I have had no problems and I am fully satisfied with this adapter.
Oh... I use the USB-A part of the adapter for a Bluetooth receiver and it works fine.
**UPDATE 5/8/2019** I've been using this on my Pixel 3 since January. I haven't experienced any problems.
**UPDATE 9/2/2019** Used it all through the Arizona summer. No problems. It's still working great!

Exceptional car charger with PD for fast charging iPhone X or Nintendo Switch

I was waiting for Anker to make a car charger with PD. Purchased this for my iPhone X and Nintendo Switch. For the iPhone X the phone does ding twice indicating it is fast charging. I am using an Apple USB-C to lighting cable. As well as with the Nintendo Switch, it does charge while in use using a USB-C to USB-C cable. The unit is well built and feels solid, and the blue light ring looks really good.
