A first for USB charging cables, the Anker PowerLine is reinforced with bulletproof aramid fiber. That makes it much stronger than conventional cables.

We bent this cable over 5000 times and saw no damage or change in performance. PowerLine Lightning is the toughest cable you've ever seen.
Thanks to wide diameter wires and reduced cord resistance, PowerLine enables the fastest possible charge speed via any USB charger.
Apple MFi Certified
Each cable contains a unique authorization chip issued by Apple to ensure 100% sync & charge compatibility with any Lightning device.

I ordered this on June 21st but did not use it till July 7th, and less than a month later I start having issues. I am using it in my car and so the wire does not bend at all since the phone is always close to the usb plug.
I connect it and theres a 50% chance it'll start charging. When it does not charge I have to plug it in the other way around, and sometimes even then it wont work. I have to move the cable around.
I thought the problem was my phone so I took it to apple and they cleaned it, but the problem persisted.
Really disappointed. LESS THAN A MONTH and I start having issues! I bought this thinking it'll be more durable than apple's cables, but I guess I was wrong.
I suspect that the item has a manufacturing defect, as the cable simply quit working after a few months of light use. I bought this cable to use only at home to charge my phone (Apple iPhone 5s). The cable was only used in conjunction with the original apple charging block that was properly surge protected, so i'm not sure what could possibly have caused it to stop working. The unit was tried on several other outlets as well as two different model iPhones that use a lightning charging connection, though the cable still would not charge. The included photo illustrates that the cable does not charge. I would say that while I have had success with another Anker cable of the same make, this is the third time I have had quality control problems with a product bought and sold by Anker. I would love to resolve this with customer service as no one wants to throw money away, though I'm unsure even how to get in contact.
After some uses the cable had some drawbacks, the connector was detached at the minimum movement (which did not happen with other cables).
I contacted the Anker support area, they advised me and accompanied me to do some tests. After some checks, we detected a small defect in the connector, so they quickly activated the warranty.
They sent me a new cable, which works perfect, and resolved my problem.
It was a pleasure to feel that the seller cared about my problem and took care of solving it.
This kind of thing is what makes the difference and generates customer loyalty in the long term.
I Definitely recommend Anker, they showed that they can do things right if something goes wrong with their products.
I will always pay extra for quality and longevity and that’s what I expected from Anker. I have ordered 20 or so Anker products over the past 2 years for personal and work devices. I have been disappointed with the high failure rate, over 50%. The cables either tear or have general charging issues. I have also had mixed results with their wall chargers as well.
Their support is decent, but it it takes a few e-mails to get a replacement cable. After a few claims it becomes not worth the time and better to save money on something better.
I reached out to Anker through Amazon, provided the serial number of the cable and described my issue. A customer service representative, Jade, responded promptly and courteously and sent out a replacement cable with free shipping (even threw in another one for free!).
Regarding durability - I keep the cable connected to an (Anker!) portable charger and my iPhone in my pant pocket. I find that the 2 connection points, USB and lightning connector, are starting to get weak due to being bent almost all the time in those conditions. I don't think my usage is atypical. I was hoping that the Powerline construction was designed to handle such usage.

Sadly, despite my high hopes, this cable lasted less than 6 months which is surprising given that it simply sits static in an Apple charger near my TV for me to plug my iPad Air into for charging as necessary. Whilst the cable itself hasn't broken, the weak point near the Lightening connector has slowly (or should that be 'quickly') frayed and broken.
Perhaps it's because from very early on I was receiving 'incompatible' error messages and/or drop outs so was finding that I had to twist the connection around (it seems that it only likes charging one way up). In any event, it often wouldn't connect/charge and the housing quickly frayed before completely breaking.
Fortunately, it still charges (albeit with dropouts) but I don't have much hope that it will continue to do so for much longer given the broken housing.
I'm yet to contact Anker regarding a replacement under warranty but regardless of this fact, one expects a cable of their professed quality to last longer than a number of months.
Whilst I will still only rate the Anker cable received 1 STAR, I will give them 5 STARS for their Customer Service in that, directly after I posted the above review, they contacted me regarding my issue and offering a replacement cable. Unfortunately, as I presently reside in Australia, they weren't able to ship me a replacement cable so they simply and quickly refunded me the purchase price.
Given that I've had a Belkin iPhone cable last less than 6 months last year and they wanted me to pay for the cost of the return of the cable to them before replacing it (under their 2 year Warranty), I can only sing the praises of Anker's Customer Service (if not the actual cable in question)!
Bought this cable for my iPhone to be left in my car as I do use Apple CarPlay. I can leave my phone inside the armrest however I don’t like to do that because I sometimes forget when stopping for coffee on motorway.
So I wanted shorter lead, which can be left in the well just under infotainment.
This cable is great, sturdy, fits nicely and snug, you can hear the click just like with original cable. Charging is great too. I was mainly surprised that the cable arrived in little box well packaged and presented as well as it comes with little Velcro strip to ease organisation!
So far I haven’t found a single fault.
It does exactly what I wanted for really good cost.
I recommend you consider the shorter lengths.
One think I learnt from Amazon is also NEVER TRUST the reviews, even the negative one -- some negative comments on a product looks silly, naive, written by a person who do not know anything about the product they bought in first place. These seem to be done in purpose to reinforce the positive one.
