About Charis Joy Jackson
Why I love story...
Story can take you anywhere. Let you be anybody & help you beat all the odds. It can give you a glimpse into a world you never knew & fill you with wonder.
All my life I've loved the power of story. I'm enthralled by the idea of being a storyteller, like the bards of old.
Right now I've got about four novels in the making, full of characters begging me to finish their adventures & wondering what lays on the next page's of their stories.
It's hard work. I admire those who are disciplined & get it done. Needless to say, I'm learning a lot about discipline right now.

During 2015, the International Year of Light, twenty-one authors from Australia and the United States have come together to explore the theme of 'glimpses of light'—finding light in dark places—through short stories, poems, flash fiction and creative non-fiction.
Glimpses of Light includes contributions from respected and award-winning authors and poets Jo-Anne Berthelsen, Paula Vince, Lynne Stringer, Adele Jones, Jo Wanmer, Jeanette Grant-Thomson and Ellen Carr, as well as exciting new talent.
Come discover who the Tall People are and meet the mad pig farmer. Read about showgirls whose blood gives others the ability to fly, or the dead returning to the land of the living. Read testimonies of others’ struggles with depression, romance, grief and loss, and realize you are not alone. Explore the world (and other planets) through our eyes and see what you find.
Whether it’s a lazy summer read or a quest for original inspiration, you’re bound to have a good time with The Tall People.
