I thought that the book was entertaining and I liked the author's writing stlye for this book and how she even added some humor to the story and it blended in very nicely with the storyline and I also thought that her characterswere quite charming. I also enjoyed reading how the story took Rafe and Charley's story from being total strangers to seeing how their love blossomed into something very special and deep. And I also enjoyed the way that Charley went from being a non-believer to totally accepting her mate and husband as what he truly was and what he and his pack truly were. In them she found the family that she had always wished she had and in the end having it come true would mean so much to Charley. Can't wait to see what happens next in the book series.
This is a great story of a traditional pack with some unconventional thinkers. Rafe Maccon's Elite Warriors have taken it upon themselves to find him a mate. A rouge wolf has come sniffing around and found an ancient law that states an alpha must have a mate. His band of seven wolves decided to kidnap a women for him.
Charley, Cassandra, was minding her own business when they put her in a van and took her to the Alphas home. When she saw Rafe, she didn't mind as much and neither did he, he knew nothing about the kidnapping part of it before it happened. He told her what was going on and she said she would help. He told her he would give her anything if she would help him through this time. She only wanted one thing though. I'll let you discover what that is.
OH MY GOSH! This was such a cute story.
Like shifter stories in general both make me happy and make me angry in equal parts. But this made me happier more than angry. In fact, only a small bit actually made me angry and that was the actual kidnapping.
The only other "issue" I had is really a genre wise problem (and not limited to shifter stories or romance stories) and had to do with frustration of lack of communication with each other. It was more angst of "I need to show her that I want her to stay" and "I don't want to leave him but I don't want to tell him and seem like a burden for this temporary situation". Which always makes me want to facepalm and then grab the characters and tell them to communicate with each other since neither can read minds.
This was a highly enjoyable book otherwise that I'd definitely recommend.
This is a quick, fun read. Charley has a pretty boring life until she wakes up and finds herself in a luxurious home with a group of strange men. Rafe needs a mate to keep control of the pack and is shocked when Charley turns out to be his true mate. He has very little time to convince her to be his mate but he is pretty convincing. They have great chemistry and there is a lot of humor too in the story.
