Construction seems sturdy enough to me for what it is, I suppose it may not last for years but that shouldn't be anyone's intent when buying it. The blanket is a bit too small, in my opinion, looks like a little tissue diaper wrapped on it but that just adds all the more to the hilarity so still not a problem.
Received the item within two days of ordering, came in a nice box that it can be stored in when not on display.
It comes in a triangular-shaped box, and it is folded up. The tree is folded, I mean. It is sort of like paper-mache around wire. The "pine needles" are plastic, and can fall off. The ornament is wrapped up in the blanket. It was difficult to shape the tree into what it is supposed to look like, but I guess I didn't do too bad. I think the original tree doesn't have as many branches actually. The stand is horrible. The tree has a screw on the end you're supposed to screw into the base. It stuck through one piece of wood, and the other piece is too large, so it slips right out and since it is top heavy, can fall right over. So, I actually have a ruler sitting underneath the side of the base to keep it standing.
I set the tree up on my fireplace mantel so it wouldn't be touched. Overall, it is cute, not tedious, and works as a Christmas tree for me.
The blanket, which is just inexpensive fleece, was a bit too stiff for my taste so I spritzed it with Downy Wrinkle Releaser. You could probably use water or Febreeze though. I then worked with it gently, tugging and pulling it until it was bigger and easier to play with.
I hardly review any of my purchases, but I hope you enjoyed reading in case you were interested in purchasing this "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree"...Happy Holidays!
