Charlie Hills was born in Oak Park, Illinois decades ago. He has spent most of the time since then trying to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up. After considering career paths in everything from architecture to music, he settled on paying the bills as a software developer.
But there's more to life than just paying the bills. And there's definitely more to life than just telling computers what to do day in and day out. So it was, one day back in 1993, after writing a four hundred page software manual, he realized he really liked putting words in order.
Between 1999 and 2006 he published eight editions of two books on video editing. Then in 2007 he published a humorous, quasi-memoir on dieting. He is currently working on the sequel: a humorous, quasi-memoir on cancer. It should be done Real Soon Now.
