Started out good but the ending was just ridiculously overdone. The whole Luca officially becoming king, Charm waiting til the last minute for literally everything, her coming out of a coma, Luca still king but in jail, its just too much. Its rare that I don't finish a book but this one I don't want to even bother.

If you liked the other two books in this series, hold on for the ride of your life! I can't say much about this book without being a spoiler. What I will say is that Luca gets more despicable, Cynder gets more dashing, and Charm grows a backbone. A great story and a wonderful end to the series.

Full of tropes used over and over. Based on a story that was somebody else's.
But it was a fun read if you overlook all of that and lucky coincidences. You can while away several days with this. I'm sure lots of people love this land full of good people who beautiful and everything always works out for them and the bad people die. Everyone loves the guy who is going round murdering people and the heroes get their happy ending when he is dead. Oh well, it was always coming!
