"It is superbly written, evenly paced with well-developed characters. Its happy and sad moments will touch your heart. Its beautiful words and message stayed on my mind for days and even had me looking closer at my own dogs and their body language." - Pamela King, Author of "For the Love of a Dingo."
"Lowrey's shelter employees and canine inmates speak so eloquently in this book about a broken and tragic system. Chasing the Blue Sky is a sorely needed reminder of those cast-off dogs waiting and hoping for new families to come and find them. It's most highly recommended" - Readers' Favorite
"Most of us try our best to treat our animal friends well, but we make as many mistakes as they do in trying to interpret what each other needs. That's life. But, we can always learn to do better. "Chasing the Blue Sky' made me want to do better." - Good Kindle Reviews
"This is a beautifully, well written book, easy to read with great world building. This could easily be a book for animal advocates or people hoping to deter people from surrendering, I wouldn't be surprised if copies ended up in lobbies of shelters." - My Book Nook
"Chasing the Blue Sky approaches animal rights in a way that is both empathetic and constructive. The novel is filled with emotional, heart-wrenching scenes that are not for the faint of heart, especially those who are animal lovers. Lowrey's novel does more than just tell a sad story; it confronts the injustices those who do not have a voice face, yet these forgotten ones show resilience and love anyway." - The Book Review Directory

It will be bring "why don't they understand me" to your heart. And yes...it will bring tears or at least watery eyes.
I have never included a picture when asking to give my feelings on a pup book that I have read. My pup is named Trey. He is a border collie mix. My son and a rescue I have had just over 10 years ago. After all these years we are still discussing "who rescued who"?? Yep, he was in a shelter and on the "short list" (due to overly shyness) and me a single male that weeks before had to put down my love a Lab-mix of almost 13 years due to pain.
