Nik otherwise known has Prince Stefan of Beruvia, is in New York on business whilst going to dinner his sees a woman caught in the rain and gets soaked when his car sprays her with water. Getting out to apologise they both get sprayed, Nik offers to take Petey to the hotel to get dried off and changed.
Petey accepts and is treated to the full works including a new outfit. On the way to the gallery she gives Nik a card and says he is welcome to attend following his dinner. Nik cuts his dinner short and goes to the gallery, rescuing Petey from a man invading her space they get talking and go for something to eat, Nik likes the fact she does not know who he is. He asks her to dinner the following night which she accepts. They have an amazing night that ends with sex and they agree to meet the next day. Nik intends to tell Petey who he is but he is beaten to the punch. How will things turn out? Can they cross the obstacles that may come their way?
I really enjoyed this book its a modern day fairy tale for adults, emotional & enjoyable highly recommended read, a well deserved 5 stars. Also please check out works by this author
I love this fairy tale with a bit of sexiness on the side. Ok more than a bit of sexiness, thats what makes me love it even more!
When Petey (which is such a great name for an independent girl) leaves the Montana countryside to see here best friend in New York she is a little out of place. Her sculptures of welded metal and glass and up for sale. She needs to dress up and get to the gallery to meet everyone. Only problem is something and someone has changed the direct route to her opening.
The minute Nik meets Petey his world becomes brighter.
Petey now has an attentive, gorgeous, wealthy man who treats her like a princess who wants her. She doesn't know he is a Prince and that if things go further she really could be a princess. What they both want is to just be ordinary people. Nik because he never has been ordinary and Petey because she has always been ordinary.
This is a sweet romance story of how a prince falls in love with an ordinary girl. Who doesn't like stories like that?
I enjoyed the characters. The girl is likeable and relatable. She comes a cross as someone everyone likes to be around. The prince is portrayed as perfect boyfriend material. He is thoughtful and sensitive with a little bit of wildness from his party days. I also appreciated that she kept a small cast of characters. There was a couple smaller plots weaved into the main plot, and with A limited cast, it was easy to follow along.
The plot itself was well done. It is easy to read, and it kept me glued to my Kindle. Overall, I felt happy when I had finished. Who doesn't like a book that makes them feel good?
