This was the story of Stone Mitchell and Avery Anderson. They had been together six years before when lots of drama happened and Stone skipped town in shame, leaving Avery alone and unprotected from the ugly reality of their situation. She ended up pregnant at the time, however, she never told Stone or his family about it. Now it's six years later, Stone finds out he has a five year-old daughter and he goes into fighting mode, refusing to understand Avery's reasoning for not telling him. They were both right in their own ways, hard to pick a side in their situation. They end up starting a sexual relationship while Stone gets to know his daughter. He is also trying to solve the mystery of their past drama. This part, to me, was almost like an after-thought. It definitely did not play a major part in the story for the first 80% of the book, therefore, when lots of craziness went down at the end because of it, I was a little confused and did not get it all. I didn't think we got a good explanation on why it all happened, and I felt like it was just put in there to add more pages to the book. Also, I was looking forward to an awesome epilogue, but, theirs did not rock my world. It was just kind of there. However, like I said in the beginning, the story is definitely worth reading and the series is definitely worth following. Stone's brothers seem to be just as cool (but maybe funnier) as Stone himself.

I liked this story! I liked the strength, hope and faith that Avery showed throughout the story. I liked the curveballs thrown by the author. She certainly had me guessing what the outcome would be!

Chasing Wicked is a contemporary romance novel.
I loved this book from the first to the last page. This book had me at the edge of my seat the whole time.
Meet Avery Anderson and Stone Mitchell. Both have a past. A past that turned ugly.
Now years later they meet again and fate has a way that will left one speechless.
There is drama, hate, hurt and pain, evil and love. This book has twists and turns I never had expected.
Chasing Wicked is written in a single POV and that I greatly enjoyed too. The book is fast but it didn't give me whiplash.
I loved the characters- I could feel their emotions in the words, and I loved the writing and mostly I loved the well deserved HEA.
I laughed, I cried and I suffered with the characters.
" Through Hell And Back " sums it up pretty good.
5 Stars and Thank you Kathryn L. James !!
My heart broke for Avery and Stone. Their past has played a huge part and where they are now, and it was awesome watching them overcome it. I LOVED Avery’s character. She’s smart, sweet, sexy, know what she wants and isn’t afraid to go for it. Stone was a bit moody and broody at the beginning of the book, but having Avery and Savannah in his life brought out a different side of him.
This book was well written, and had me drawn in from the beginning. I will definitely be checking out more books by this author, and can’t wait to see which Mitchell brother gets the next story!
This is definitely a must read!!!
