Again questions that don't really hit the mark. I really like this. Nothing about this that's chocolate but it is a little Like malt. What would be hard pressed to find a better product than Chatfieldt. That is why I decided to give Kara but try with this particular brand because you can't get anything better. Which there was such a thing as decaffeinated chocolate powder. Male bears an idea but would have to get rid of the theanine or whatever is in it that's also really bad for the spine. Chocolate is not good for the brain are the body, regardless of what some people calm a lot of people tout. They don't have the full story. But Cara powder like this one is Excellent. This blends right into almond milk easily as well with a sprinkle of decaf crystals in its sprinkle of non gmo organic stevia and then heated up in the microwave.
This Carob Powder was recommended to me while following the AutoImmune Protocol (AIP) in place of cocoa powder (chocolate). I used this a couple of times to make coconut milk "hot chocolate". The flavor is great, and naturally slightly sweet, so you don't need to add any sweetener, or very little. I've never tried other brands of Carob powder so I don't have a comparison of brands, but this one (Chatsfields Carob Powder) is very good. Also, note that this is 3 cans. I did't see that and got all three, but okay with it since it lasts a very long time. I def recommend even if not following AIP...it just tastes good, without the caffeine and side effects of cocoa.
I have used this for a couple of years. I usually use this to make carob “milk”. I start with a full carton of unsweetened almond milk. In a pot on the stove I put about one and a half cups of the milk, ½ cup of carob powder and 5 tablespoons of agave. I heat and whisk until the carob is fully dissolved. Let it cool. Then pour it into the original container with the rest of the milk. Shake and refrigerate and I have a full carton of carob milk to drink whenever. It is very smooth and hits the spot. It is also ready to pour into a mug and heat in the microwave. I top it with non-dairy whip topping and it is a yummy hot drink.
I’m currently on the AIP Paleo diet, Due to my recent diagnostic of an auto immune disease. I really love chocolate and that’s been the hardest for me since we can’t have chocolate or sugar so this has really helped me with my cravings
I like making hot chocolate with honey and coconut milk (sometimes rice milk or coffee) and mixing it with the carob. It’s best if you mix it then let it sit overnight to get cold and let the flavors mellow more so you have cold chocolate milk in the morning. The carob has fiber in it so it doesn’t mess with my blood sugar as much and tastes great.

I have been using this for several years. The taste is creamy chocolate. I've baked cakes and cookies with it and children love the taste. I've used it both hot and cold. It is a natural powder and I have found in the time I have used it, I gained no weight. I have not lost much either, maybe 5 pounds or so but not significant as a weight loss supplement. My cholesterol however has been kept in check using Chatfield's Carob Powder, without the use of any medication.
