This book is a compilation of works from a number of photographers mostly from Europe with a few from the USA.. It can also be described as a catalog of photographers showing samples of their work as their business address or contact information is given for each.

The subject matter for this book is that part of a woman's body with the most beautiful curves in nature; a woman's derriere. In this way we can compare each photographer's interpretation of a single simple assignment. The photos range from just the models themselves to the use of props, location and costuming. The most common costuming is of course lingerie, primarily garters and stockings. With pantyhose now over forty years old; garters, stockings and sometimes girdles are still considered sexy even by a younger generation that did not grow up with them..

There is not a really bad photo in the book, although some are less inspired than others. A few are ingenious in the use of posing and locations. Some of the models are thinner than my taste, but most have nice curves and photograph well. There has been a number of "How to Photograph Women" books published usually by a single author/photographer with a single point of view. I purchased this book to get ideas for my own work from a number of different viewpoints and for this it serves well. The photos are erotic, exotic and sexy without being vulgar and nasty. If your are a derriere man you will enjoy this book.

Hmmmmmmm......where do begin? I'll make it short and sweet. There's a lot of high quality prints from many different photographers. It's interesting to see there differnt perspectives of the female " rear end", which I might add is absolutely extrordinary! This book will make a fine piece for anyone's collection!!

This might be the granddaddy of all derriere books. It features over 500 select photographs from twenty-nine of the world's greatest art and glamour photographers, each of whom is semi-obsessed with the female rump. And more than just a superb collection of photographs, the artist text that accompanies each of the twenty-nine sections is very illuminating and is a nice touch. Contributing photographers include: Jimon Aframian, Pascal Baetens, Jean-Paul, FOUR, Christian Gomez, Herbert Hesselmann, Roman Kasperski, Ralph Kerpa, Chas Ray, Krider, Borys Kurylo, Peter Legler, Thomas Meyer, Richard Murrian, Simon Nicolai, Alexander Paulin, Michael Pecha, Joerg Skarabis, Matthias Stolt, Paul von Stroheim, Gorden Thye, Herve de Varez, Frank Wartenberg, Tamara Amhoff-Winderler, Anna & Barney, Jens Bruggemann, and Otto Weisser.

Did I mention that this book showcases over FIVE-HUNDRED fannies??? It is spectacular!

I dont know why some people did not like this book. I think they did not read the nomenclature, it lists the dimensions right there. I like the size of the book myself. You also must relize that this book is sort of like a "sampler". It is broken down by photographer and gives a bio on the person as well various means to contact the artist if you want to buy larger prints. As for the pictures, the style varies greatly, but do not mistake this book for out right porno if that is what you want look elsewhere. If you enjoy the female form then this book is for you.
