Update (7/17/2016): After my review I got a call from the company regarding my experience. The gentlemen sent out a new mount that was completely metal. When I received the item it was heavier than expected but I knew this mount was exactly what I've been looking for; all metal with complete swivel. This mount has bought me peace of mind with my TV. I can't be any happier and greatful. After going above and beyond to ensure I have a great customer experience I realized they truly care about their products as well as the customer experience. I would definitely recommend this company if you looking to buy safe quality mount for your TV. Now because I threw the box away I'm providing you with the link to the mount. I know it is pricey compared to this one BUT it's worth every single penny! LITERALLY!

At the beginning it seemed like a goood product but when we mounted our 55" TV the ball got stuck on a downward position. When we tried to un-jam it, it simply was not giving in so we had decided to just let be until we get another one. As we were tightening it all together again, the TV fell. Thankfully we were still holding on to the TV at the moment. When it fell we realized the rotating ball is plastic. So I learned my lesson, when looking for a wall mount, especially for a TV that size, there can be absolutely no plastic on the mount what so ever.

The instructions were clear and had nice diagrams. The extras are nice. My only complaint is that i had to buy washers. I needed to use the extension brackets and when i went to screw the mount to my tv, the extension slots were too wide for the screws. So i made a quick trip to the hardware store and picked up some washers and the problem was fixed.

But be aware that if you need to use the extension brackets, you will need washers to make it work!

50" Samsung 4k Smart TV 2014 edition. Just barely fit!

Installed in to studs. Holds the tv perfectly. There is bolt that appears loose with a lock not but can't be tightened. This allows the tv to slant downward a little bit. Not much but I would encourage you to install it above eye level to its not aiming below eye level when resting. The range of rotation works perfectly for my house. You can easily see 70degrees from perpendicular either way. The frame work also allowed me to zip tie my cabling down a floating shelf tray to get the full floating entertainment center look. No signs of cracking or flexing occuring and this about 6 months later. Love the level and HDMI that comes with it. The cable is slightly rigid and cool looking. Level has a magnet which is helpful beyond the installation of the bracket.

Installation for this:
Use 2 people. First place the tv flat on some soft surface clear from debris. Then put the x bracket on the wall support bracket. Then attached the whole thing to the rear of the tv. Naturally measure and mark your anchor points on the wall. Then one person needs to hold the tv with the bracket fully extended while the other guides it to the holes and drills the screws. I found that having the bracket fully extended and also angled completely one way kept the tv out of my way. Note: I did this by myself and use a stable surface to hold the tv as if the one person was hold it because I have a floating shelf below where I was mounting the tv. Not easy but doable if you HAVE to. Goodluck!

I have recently installed this mount on a stud in our bedroom, on a 48" Sharp Aquos HD set. It is very sturdy and shows none of the sagging or slackness that other reviewers have mentioned. It came with all the parts including a very nice 10' High Speed HDMI cable, which came in handy. Two large lag bolts installed the back plate and arms securely to the stud, with no play at all. The set weighs about 25 lbs and does not cause any sagging. Not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from, although missing parts would be aggravating and may be a good portion of these, but the build is solid, with no sloppy welds and for $25 it can't be beat. Allows for an extreme amount of positioning options, except for vertically. The tilt function via ball and socket is really tight and will not slip when the three tightening bolts are secured. And you can move the TV from side to side to line it up to your satisfaction. The only issue was that it takes two people to mount the TV with attached plate to the end of the arm, as a long bolt has to be installed and then tightened. But this only takes a few seconds, and due to the light weight of today's TV sets, it is not too much trouble.

All in all a very good purchase and I would recommend it highly!

October update: I was originally disappointed. The mounting plate was too big to fit the recessed mounting holes on either of my two monitors. I needed to find some longer screws to use the mount, but it was worth it given the great price. I posted my experience here (below), and was contacted by the distributor. First, after getting an understanding of my problem, they sent me a full refund for my trouble in having to find longer screws. Second, a few weeks later they contacted me and said that they had addressed the problem and offered a free one for me to try. When I received the new one I found that they had removed the corner edges from the original mounting plate and the new one fits inside the recess on the back of my monitors, performing perfectly without needing the longer screws.

So, I can strongly recommend the product - which is a fantastic deal for the price I originally paid. And I can say that the company has phenomenal customer support if you happen to have a problem.

The name of this is TV monitor mount. Well maybe it should just be TV mount. I have two 24" computer monitors, one from Dell and one from Asus, each has a recessed hole for the mounting plate and the size of the opening is too small for the plate, even though the holes line up.

I will have to try and find some long screws that will work with the greater distance between the plate and the recessed screw holes.

I have purchased numerous flat screen mounts over time and have narrowed down my preferred supplier/manufacturer to CHEETAH. They provide all the parts and fasteners you could possibly need for any installation scenario you will encounter. Their instructions are clearly written by someone who has actually done this work before and speaks/writes English very well.

In this case the box included everything I needed, plus 4 wings that can be added for a TV larger than VESA 200 x 200 as well as a level, a 10' HDMI and two bags of fasteners.

Everything went together exactly as it was intended, and the tolerances were as close to perfect as it gets.

This particular model has a polymer ball that allows the TV to be rotated to virtually any angle you can imagine and it pulls out from the wall mount about 20". In my case I don't really need that much mobility but when you want to access wiring and connections, the ability to easily pull the TV out, do your connections without being a contortionist and put the TV back is a huge value added.

For the price, I call this a BEST VALUE.

CHEETAH > HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Mounting this was a pain in many ways, I nearly pulled my hair out. Maybe I'm not too smart with doing these things. Either way the TV is mounted now, a 42'' Vizio, and it makes for a great budget wall mount that works well. I'm happy with the purchase.

Edit: I have spoken with SPN the seller and the issue I had seems to have been fixed. My unit came as a whole and mounting the TV was really hard after the wall mount was hung. SPN has let me know that the plate that connects to the TV is now shipped unmounted onto the portion that connects to the wall so it should be easier to hang in the future. I plan to order another one as this is a great product, just an annoyance with mounting that I had.

Customer service is top notch.

Edit 2: I now have a 55'' E55-E1 mounted to it, no issues.

I installed this mount a month ago and so far so good. It's holding our 40" HEAVY tv, and I was honestly worried it would hold the tv up. I had a cable tv employee mount it for us, which he ended up using other screws that he had instead of the screws that were included (mostly because the wall that we were installing the mount on was block on the inside, and he also wanted much longer screws to ensure its security as much as possible because of how heavy our tv is). We don't really move the tv much (like we initially planned to do), but only because it won't reach to where we wanted to move it to, but no other mount would've helped that issue anyway)- not moving it much actually helps me not worry quite as much about it falling (I have moved it a few times just to test it, and it did just fine, & has been since). It couldn't hurt for it to seem a little more durable/secure, but it's definitely holding up just fine and I'm happy with it overall.

Honestly, I bought two of these for my kids TVs thinking I couldn't go wrong with a 4.5 star rating after 5,000 reviews. But in fact, I'm sad to say I can't give this thing 5 stars. There are two reasons. First, and most importantly the ball mount at the end, is really unnecessary and actually ADDS to the weakness of the unit. Let's face it, if you get a TV mount, you're going to either swivel it side to side, or up and down--not diagonally. Who watches TV with the screen diagonally tilted?? So the ball mount is overkill.

Yes, a ball mount gives you theoretically infinite adjustment, but also makes the unit vulnerable to listing until you get the TV perfectly level and then tighten the daylights out of the 3 ball mounting screws--which incidently added about 45 minutes to my work time on this (With 2 adults I'd think it would only add another 5-10 minutes, but I had to manage this solo). My son's 37" Vizio weighs about 25 lbs, and it took me that much additional time to get it level and tighten the ball mount screws so it would stop listing to the side. I honestly would not put a TV bigger than that on this mount.

Secondly, the last piece before the TV mounting bracket is this little L shape piece of metal held to the swivel arms by one bolt. Again, I had to tighten the daylights out of this bolt so the L piece wouldn't tilt forward and it still tilts a little. Which means you will need to compensate with the ball mount by tilting the TV upward past the vertical angle you want, so that when it settles, it's facing at the angle you really want.

I mean, for the price it's a decent unit and I certainly wouldn't return them, but I was surprised that this unit got as many 5 star reviews as it did. I think they really could've built it a bit better for not much more.

Edit - 9/21/15

Unbelievably, a representative of Cheetah Mounts called me (YES called me directly and it was a person, not a robocall) and was concerned about my 4 star review and the issues I wrote above. OMG!! How many companies do that??!!! Amazing! Not only did they want to listen to my concerns, but they apologized that the product fell short of my expectations and offered me options to make it right.

Now, in my book, customer service is like extra credit on an exam, the product is one thing, but customer service can really make the difference and these guys blew the extra credit out of the water! They EARNED a 5th star from me. I have one more mount to buy for a bigger TV, and I will definitely consider Cheetah Mounts first before any other simply because of how much they care about their customers. You've got to give it up to a company and it's employees who do this because it's a rare thing today. Thanks Cheetah Mounts!

Love this mount. It was cheap, easy to setup and install. I did it by myself, which was a task. One thing that would have been helpful was a way to mount the plate to the TV and then clip it in or set it on a post. That way a one man job would be easier.

Update 1/5/2015
So I was called by the customer service by this company regarding my review of already 4 stars with positive marks above (very surprising because hardly any company would do this). But as their representative told me there is a way to mount the wall plate to the wall separately and then mount the TV attachment to the TV separately and then join them together with a single pin/screw. This however was not mentioned in the original instructions and I guess I couldn't figure it out, but they seem to be rewriting the manual now to include this for others. Amazing company. I cannot stress how awesome that was to have a call today from them and make sure they improve for the sake of the customer. Keep up the great work and I will definitely be referring people to this brand when the ask about my experience.
