Product Description

Meet The Cheetah Girls, four New York teens facing the challenges of growing up as they dance and sing their way toward that elusive record deal. Raven (THAT'S SO RAVEN) stars alongside Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan (THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL). As the girls are gearing up to rehearse for the school talent competition, they're discovered by famous record producer Jackal Johnson. But the feisty foursome soon learns that their big break is not what they expected. Jackal wants to remake them into something they're not. Ultimately, the path to stardom challenges their friendship and the girls must find a way to come together in order to achieve their dreams. Packed with hot songs and cool moves, these darling divas steal the show in this hit Disney Channel movie.

Teen sensation Raven (That's So Raven) stars as Galleria Garibaldi in the Disney Channel's brightly hued adaptation of the popular book series. Produced by Whitney Houston, Josie and the Pussycats meets Destiny's Child in the form of the Cheetah Girls. Granted, they're a quartet--including Chanel (Adrienne Bailon), Aqua (Kiely Williams), and Dorinda (Sabrina Bryan)--but, like Josie's trio, they hope to make it big and, like Beyoncé, they favor exclamations like "Cheetah-licious!" After the foursome gets off to a slow start, everything starts to change when they meet producer Jackal Johnson. That's the good news. The bad is that the attention goes straight to Galleria's head (and she was never exactly lacking in self-esteem). By the end, she learns there's more to life than fame and fortune. Aimed at the tween audience, girls are likely to fall for these tuneful teens, while their parents may find all the giggling and squealing a bit much. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

I saw this movie a while back on the Disney Channel. After hearing some mixed reviews about it, some being good; some being bad, I decided to give it a try because it was about an all-girl band named "The Cheetah Girls" and I basically love anything about music.
When I watched it, I was amazed.
This movie contains friendship as well as lots and lots of awesome, cool songs!
I *HIGHLY* recommend this for people who loves movies about friendship and music. It's one of the best Disney movies I've ever seen.

I purchased this movie and previously purchased a Vizio television with an AMAZON VIDEO App that includes an "Amazon" BUTTON on the remote control - PURCHASED not rented - in reliance on the availability of this AND MANY OTHER MOVIES for viewing by my PERMANENTLY DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED 26 YEAR OLD daughter on the AMAZON Video App on the remote because she is not, as a consequence of her disability, able to maneuver screens and log-ins on a television. In fact, I have purchased over 140 (ONE HUNDRED FORTY) movies on Amazon Video in reliance on her ability to view them on her television, which she is not able to do on other televisions we own, such as Sony televisions, having complex menu systems. Now, TODAY, JUNE 15, 2016, Amazon has decided to discontinue support of Amazon Video on her Vizio television and instead wants me to buy a Firestick for $50, which she will undoubtedly be unable to use! This is fraud. This is likely also a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and just bad business!!!!!! Do not BUY ANY AMAZON VIDEOS unless you intend to purchase a new television every year to keep up with Amazon's unscrupulous and fraudulent business practices.

I believe that this movie was a turning point for me. I was in middle school when it came out and so anxious to see it after Disney's constant comercials for it. I watched it and reached a defining moment in my life. I realized that it sucked. Cheetah Girls is one of the cheesiest , one of the corniest, one of the most predictable films I have EVER seen.
Its so shamelessly ridiculous. The part that I love to hate is the ending. An entire street gets its power turned off, ruining a talent show becauyse Ravens dog, Toto is stuck in a pot hole in the ground. Theres camera crews, police, the works and Raven makes local news. Her friends that were once annoyed with her drop their things and come to support her. Toto passes out in the man hole and the girls sing him back to consciousness(spelling?) After they do they do a musical number in the street. With the news camera filming them like a live music video. The music agency that reject the cheetah girls image sees it all and they are all just kicking themsleves for letting this talented foursome go!
the HILARIOUS part is that as the girls dance some of the firemen, street sweepers and others start joining in, somehow knowing the choreaography!
The cheesy story line is a one star but the movie does have a huge redeeming quality; the music. I hate the movie but have watched it over and over not only to make fun of it but to also sing along! The songs are great, catchy and fun. The only gripe I have with the music is that only two of the four girls could really sing. Raven, the lead girl and singer had just an OK voice. One of the girls THE DANCER of the group and her voice was pretty terrible. The two other girls used to be in a r&b group 3lw and stole the song every time they had a line.
in all this movie is enjoyable.

My 8-year old twin granddaughters are not from the Cheetah Girl generation, but they loved this introduction to a blast from the past. It's a girly-girly movie but not too girlie for the less girlie twin.

The Cheetah Girls was a great movie. It is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I liked the way the girls danced, but one girl took what they were doing too seriously. I haven't seen the DVD yet,but I saw the movie on Disney channel and I loved it. I can't wait to see the DVD!

This was an awesome movies for teenage girls and my 16 year old requested it for Christmas this year. It reflects the strength that the girls are building from great friends and from all walks for life--poor to wealthy.
