How To Use The Sous Vide
Step 1 : Prep and Seal
Place food in a food-grade sealed bag, vacuum-sealed or zipper lock bag. Add seasonings or spices like herbs, butter, and garlic. For extra flavor, marinate food in fridge prior to sealing.
Step 2 : Cook your Food
Securely clip the sous vide to any deep heat-proof pot or container. Fill water level between Min and Max indicators marked on the sous vide. Connect to power, set time and temperature then immerse the sealed bag.
Step 3 : Sear and Enjoy!
Once the alarm beeps to signal the end of cooking time, finish your food by grilling, broiling or searing it in a piping-hot pan, adding a delicious caramelized texture and a more appetizing appearance. Enjoy your restaurant quality meal.

I've been looking into Sous Vide cooking for over a long time, I made a lot of research and I am so excited for this one and couldn't be happier with this purchase. We've used it everyday since I got it and just love it. You name it we've cooked it, Fish steak, roast, vegetables. Not a single complaint. And so Juicy and précised it’s wonderful, If you are considering this purchase, just be aware you can't use it to cook a meal in a hurry and you need to plan ahead. (Think of it like cooking with a crock pot... low temperature cooking over long periods of time ... slow and steady) .
Last night I said to myself, know what lets challenge this cooker with the tough meat challenge. One of claims of sous vide cooking is it can make the toughest cut of meat tender. So got to my butcher asked him for a cheap inexpensive cut of meat which was a chuck underblade steak (also sometimes called a bottom chuck steak)... these are cuts that all too often turn out really tough. Be aware that tough meats need to cook for a much longer period of time. Following the instructions for cooking a tough cut of beef to medium rare... we cooked ours at 149 degrees for 19 hours ( recommended time is 16 to 24 hours) . The result ... was a delicious melt in your mouth delight, no knife needed, cut it with the side of a fork dinner. Really amazing.
Also with this sous vide you don’t need any vacuum sealer or Food Saver type of appliance to use this cooker, Again I will reaped You DON’T need any, just take any bucket, pot or container you have at home put it in ANY zip lock bag with your favorite flavored species and bingo… after an Hr. or two you get your delicious steak…
Also don’t forget about club Chefman, in the box I got info how to access club Chefman with amazing super recipes it’s a real bonus…
UPDATE: At this time the company has offered to stand behind their product and replace the defective one. Stay tuned as I hope to have a positive review soon.

I got the Chefman because 1) the price was excellent, and 2) it looked like an idiot could operate it (even if I don't categorize myself as such). The benefit of sous vide is that you don't have to worry about cooking something correctly--no having to deal with feeling whatever you're cooking and wondering if it's done. No worrying about whether that item is still raw inside.
Using the Chefman was simple! I filled a food prep container with water, clipped it on the side, set my temperature, and hit the "play" button. The water started circulating and heating up. Since I'm anal and paranoid about these things, I constantly checked the water temperature with my handheld thermometer--it was nearly identical, so you know you can rely on the Chefman's temperature read.
I cooked salmon, which I did in a normal freezer bag. It was done in 20 minutes, I took it out, and I seared it. Boom! Done. So easy! The fish was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and was absolutely delicious.
If you do decide to get this, a couple bits of advice: cook in Celsius. It's a little more forgiving and things will come out better. You also MUST do the 63-degree (Celsius) egg. It will blow. your. mind.
This is more than another gadget for my kitchen. This is a new way of flawlessly cooking anything I'd like, and with minimal effort yet perfect results. Can't wait to see how far I can take my recipes!
