This brewer does it all! K-Cup, or Grounds, you can have a cup of coffee in literally 30-60 seconds. The temp is a bit on the cool side (as it starts) so the coffee isn't the strongest. It makes up for this with the quick heating and dispensing time. This coffee maker is able to make a cup of coffee in the time it takes my Keurig to perform its initial warm up.
You trade off the Keurig settings and ability to store water but... really that isn't what this machine is for.
Its only about 2.5lb and it actually works great for travel. My wife has started taking it to work with her! The whole unit at work is drinking coffee from this machine all day!
I will update everyone if it dies but right now its making a ton of coffee per day and everyone is enjoying it.
This is the perfect travel coffee maker or morning work cup of coffee. Taking the hassle out of warming up even a Keurig! To think of how far we have come in the last years.... Keurig's were supposed to be the "instant coffee" machines and now this machine even beats those units in operation time.
I will say the needle to poke a hole in the K-Cups is a bit weak so you have to put some decent force down on it to puncture the K-Cup if you use it... but other than that I can't think of a single con with this machine. It even has a cleaning mode and comes with detailed instructions on how to use it.
If you are looking for a do-it-all simple coffee maker or a travel coffee maker.... look no further. This is a solid product all-around.
