You can put more than one sandwich on it...no.
It "includes a floating hinge that adjusts to accommodate thicker sandwiches and easier grilling." Also....no.
I love the 180° platform for indoor grilling since we live in an apartment, however I longed for the other portions of my appliance to work as well. I am very disappointed.
I never ask for my money back if I made a bad decision and ended up with a product that I don't like in the end. This time, I am going to. I was so excited to finally get this type of item! I researched and found one at a price I could afford that I thought would be good based on what I read. I've decided they must pay for the good reviews, therefore it explains how they were all good. Don't waste your time or money. An hour later my guests, 3 of them, finally have their paninis, cooked one at a time, fighting to flip constantly to keep the top grill from pushing all the ingredients out of the sandwich since it refuses to level out with that touted floating hinge that doesn't work. So bummed.

I should have listened to previous reviewers who did not like this panini press, but, sadly, I didn't! Simply stated, it DOES NOT ". . . Fit Any Type or Size of Food . . ." as stated! I tried to make a single ham & cheese panini pressed sandwich and personally experienced the many shortcomings of this Chefman Panini Press Grill. First of all, the extremely short cord limited where it could be used on our cabinet. Although the sandwich fit on the small grill, when I tried to press it, the lid does not apply pressure evenly (because it does not float), so the sandwich tries to "squeeze" the contents out the front side of the sandwich. In addition, the lid does not lock down, so it must be held to "press" the sandwich. Finally, it does not heat evenly, so part of the bread gets toasted nicely, while another part is not toasted at all. Since I kept it in the press to toast the untoasted part, I burned the part that toasted first. I am returning the Chefman Panini Press Grill and will be searching for another Panini Press that is larger and has a floating and locking lid; I'll also look for one with an ON/OFF Power Switch and possibly Temperature Control.

I’ve been looking for a small Panini press for a while now, and when this went on sale during prime day I decided to buy it. It is small. I don’t know how the demonstration fit two sandwiches on one pan unless they were finger sandwiches. The description says that the back can raise up to give you a decent all-around bake. It doesn’t. I had to move the sandwich around several times to get it evenly cooked. It doesn’t raise up. If I had known that this thing would not have been bought. Checking to see if I can return it, if I can’t I wonder if my mother wants a Panini press?

I bought this item two months ago. My teenager and tween have fallen in love with this item and so have I. We use it daily and I even brought it with us on vacation. We make paninis, grilled cheeses, foldovers, and toast multiple times a day. I use it for preparing breakfasts, lunches and dinners for single or multiple people. I just discovered that it changes height to accommodate thicker sandwiches. The instructions were kind of mimial. It is on the smaller side but it can fit two sanwiches of good size at a time if they are at an angle. It stays on our counter and I use it more than our toaster oven. Great price for the value!

I use this product at least twice a week every week. It has proven reliable and easy to clean. Surface area is also adequate while keeping the size of the product down to save some counter space. Didn't know the lid tilted until a few times using product. Glad it tilts, but only drawback is that I wish it tilted more. No temperature controls, however heat setting appears to be generally optimal for average purposes. At the price point I paid, I recommend highly.

I would say that the description was misleadingly optimistic at best.

#1 This is not easy to clean. The plates are firmly attached to the press, so you have to clean them in situ.

#2 The floating lid doesn't float. It is more just a normal lid with slots for pins to slide in that mock you as you are attempting to get the top part flat in vain.

#3 The pictures are laughably unrealistic. They have 3 sandwiches shown as fitting in the headline pictures. I don't think 3 small sliders would fit. One normal sized sandwich (normal loaf of bread (think wonderbread size), 2 slices of cheese, and 3 slices of meat) just barely fit

#4 The bottom is dramatically warmer than the top. The bottom piece of bread for the most recent sandwich I made was burnt and the top barely looked cooked after 5 minutes (I preheated first).

If you would like to spend $30 for a sandwich making implement, I'd suggest lighting $30 of singles on fire and using them to cook your sandwich instead of this piece of crap. I will never be purchasing anything made by Chefman again. They did a great job making something that looks like a panini maker, but they did a truly horrible job of making a panini maker.

It’s tiny. It also takes a while to get hot and press a sub. No dial or anything, one heat setting. Plug it in and have it ready to go while you build your sandwich or you’ll be waiting a hot minute for it to heat up if you didn’t already plug it in. It’s ok and gets the job done. Nothing special but not terrible either.

FABULOUS! I’m gluten free vegan and I use this more for vegetables than paninis. I have use it to grill eggplant, zucchini, potatoes and even a vegan corn muffin. The top opens up 180 degrees flat with the push of a hinge button on the side. The top can also be tilted with a wooden spoon to adjust to the height of whatever you are grilling. The removable drip pan is great too for catching any grease or water runoff. It can fit two small sandwiches or one large sandwich. I sliced 3 small zucchinis lengthwise and they fit on the grill. OMG they were delicious! For the two of us it is just the right size! The have a larger one also if you have a family. Just buy it!

I bought this for the family to make quick and easy hot sandwiched. We have had it for less than a month with minimal use and it's broken.

It's not a complicated or sophisticated machine. It is quite small which is a space saver however the capacity doesn't serve more than one person or sandwich at a time.

The design, plug in - it's on. No ON/OFF control, NO temperature control. Without these features why is it broken in such a short time - because its a cheap badly made grill.

I don't recommend it.
