Took a couple tries to figure out the proper technique, but it works well.
What I found works best is to open it ALMOST all the way, and as you push into the top of the strawberry, slowly release the button to get the jaws almost all the way closed- grip the berry and give the tool a fast twist and it should work! Works well but not 100% perfect.

My last huller lasted well over 5 years before the spring inside broke, this is the identical product and I have every confidence that this one will last a long time too. It’s a very effective product that is easy to use.

After use, rinse by hand (not dishwasher) but don’t submerge and leave to dry standing on its tip to keep water out of the interior mechanism.

After seeing YouTube reviews of this, I thought I'd try them myself yo make my smoothie making quicker. I can tell you it certainly does. It is so much quicker, easier and cleaner to use this than other methods or by hand.
The two big let downs are; the small green 'pink at the bottom keeps falling out as I use it, which is so difficult to put back in, and you can't provide additional 'clasping' strength if you have a tougher strawberry.

Definitely worth buying though.

This product s definitely worth its price! It works great to hull strawberries and looks so cute. I also use it to take the dark spots off my potatoes, it works awesome at that and since manually taking a paring knife and digging the spots out that way there all gone in seconds :)

I highly recommend this product! The only downside that cleaning it is a little difficult, I just end up cleaning the inside with my finger and running water thru it cuz i don't want to put it in the dishwasher and possibly rust it or something...!!
