Maxi-Suds II Super Suds Car Wash Shampoo
How It Works
Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II lifts dirt away and guides it off paintwork for a scratch-free shine. Lift and separate dirt and debris with the constant release of foaming bubbles and slick wash lubricants of Maxi Suds II. The specialty wash polymers of Maxi Suds II rise up in each bubble, lifting and lubricating dirt and debris from sensitive automotive finishes. The advanced formula is tough on dirt, gentle on paintwork, and safe for all wax, glaze, and sealant coatings. The pH-balanced formula will not strip wax coatings, will not leave water spots or streaks, and is safe to use even in direct sunlight. Maxi Suds II is extremely concentrated and extremely versatile. Use just 1 ounce in a full 5 gallon bucket of water for maximum suds and a slick scratch-free wash solution. Use Maxi Suds II in any foam gun or foam cannon for enhanced cleaning power through thick cleansing foam on any vehicle. Maxi Suds II also works well in any two bucket wash method to clean all exterior paintwork, glass, metal, plastic, vinyl, and rubber surfaces.
Gentle Cleaning On Tough Dirt And Debris
Maxi Suds II is pH-balanced, safe for wax and sealant coats, and helps maintain and enhance protective coatings. Use Maxi Suds II at any time of day or night, even in direct sunlight, for a spot-free rinse with enhanced shine and gloss. Maxi Suds II uses advanced cleaners and lubricants that lift dirt and debris from the surface, then glide it away on slick lubricants that drastically reduce the chances of scratching paintwork or other sensitive surfaces. Proper cleaning methods and products reduce the chances of swirls and scratches and keep any vehicle looking showroom-new.
Versatile Formula For Any Cleaning Method
Chemical Guys car wash soaps are great to use with any wash method to clean any car, truck, motorcycle, or RV. Maxi Suds II makes mountains of slick wash suds when diluted just 1 oz. in any 5 gallon wash bucket. For added foam and slick washing power, add 1-3 ounces of Maxi Suds II in any foam gun or foam cannon. Rinse your vehicle, then pre-soak with thick foamy suds before using the traditional two-bucket wash to further reduce the chance of installing swirls and scratches on sensitive paintwork and surfaces. Maxi Suds II cleans and shines all exterior automotive surfaces for a scratch-free shine.
Rinses Clean: No Residue, No Spots, No Footprint
Chemical Guys formulates wash shampoos and other detailing products to do one thing: detail cars and achieve the best results. Maxi Suds II washes cars with mountains of slick suds, rinses clean with no residue or spots. Low grade cleaners and degreasers use caustic chemicals that etch paint, poison wildlife, and strip protective wax and leave vehicles unprotected from the elements. Maxi Suds II is safe to use on any car, truck, motorcycle, or RV.
Safe For Wax And Sealant
Maintaining your vehicle’s protective wax or sealant layer is important. Wax and sealant protect your car from UV rays, water spots and contamination. Maxi-Suds II works to maintain your protective wax or sealant layer. The unique washing formula allows dirt, grime and filth to be washed away while still maintaining your protective layer. Maxi-Suds II is designed to wash any exterior surface with precision. Simply mix 1 ounce of Maxi-Suds II to 4-5 gallons of water to create a superior surface cleanser with a generous amount of wash suds. The advanced super polymers glide over your current wax or sealant layer ensuring that your car, truck, motorcycle or RV stays protected against the elements.

Instead of a two bucket wash system I use a no bucket system.
1. I first power wash my vehicle with plain water. This gets most of the loose dirt and contaminates off, as well as get the bugs wet for the next step.
2. I load my foam cannon with soap, attach it to my power washer and give the vehicle a thick coating of soap. When the whole car is saturated with soap, I use my microfiber sponge to start washing the same area that I first began applying the soap. I then scrub the whole car paying special attention to areas where the bugs and tar are concentrated.
3. I then begin rinsing my car with the power washer with the white nozzle. The power washer removed the already softened bugs and that weren't removed during the previous two steps.
After step 3 around 99% of the bugs and tar are gone.
Please know that I haven't wash this vehicle in 3 months. I just recently purchased a Greenworks 1,600 PSI power washer and another brand of foam cannon.
My car is 10 Years Old and has over 103,000 miles on it.
Good luck with your washing projects. My next project will be washing my house. It is almost 4 years old and is showing some signs of dirt over the winter.
Scent is great... kind of wish it stuck around after rinsing lol
Sprayed with a foam cannon from a Karcher electric pressure washer.
First pic is just a QUICK spray... to see how it stuck when put on lightly.
2nd pic is more of a "full coverage" pass as seen in the video. It doesn't take much... this stuff sticks and doesn't run.
In fact... 30-40min later, when I went to leave, there were still suds in the driveway... and I had rinsed most of it down!!
It does seem to take awhile to rinse it all away. Like it kept sudsing up from what was coming out of door channels, running from behind roof rack, etc.
I let it soak as I sprayed the whole truck down and took my time getting the wash mitt out. Nothing was really CAKED on, but everything seemed to wipe off easily. Not saying the soap is magic... but it worked as well or better than any other I've had!
I use a an RV water softener on the hose to rinse it and it sprayed off nearly perfectly clean... no soap streaking at all with just a quick drive (no towels used... I was in a hurry)
ONE COMPLAINT. Weak bottle? I have no idea how, but the bottom corner of the jug got dented.... which apparently caused a hole... and ~1/3 of the soap ran out the bottom into my 5gal bucket (that also had all my other wash gear in it). Salvaged a lot of it by topping off my spray bottle, refilling another brand's soap bottle, and currently storing this jug on its side to keep soap from running out until I can get around to using it up.
I usually use a foam gun but opted for a heavy dose of Maxi Suds II in a bucket filled about 1/4 full of cold water.
Rinsed the car with water, then washed. I was amazed to find that not only did it clean the car, but also removed most of the tree sap - some bits had to be scraped off with a fingernail, but after a good scrubbing and rinse, tree sap was all washed away. Bug and Tar Remover not needed. I was truly impressed.
I had this stuff written off as an overpriced fruit gum scented car wash, but I'm sold on it now. It's on my 'subscribe and save' list
I will be honest anything chemical guys products is very good but the price is little expensive..
Like old saying what you pay what you get..
Little pricey but it’s worth it... and has fruit smells...
When I wash I like plenty bubbles and good smells and this get the job done...I used just use cheap brand before until I tried chemical guys brand...This brand has a lot of good detailing products... My daughter bought honey dew scent and smells very delicious.. lol
Make you want to wash more.. lol..
Also if you see your micro fabric towel black ( use this soap to get out all the dirt)
The bad: I had to work considerably harder with this soap compared to my old Meguires soap just to get my vehicle clean. This stuff really struggled to remove any dirt and bugs.
I used this in a foam cannon first and saw almost no cleaning done after letting it sit and then power washed it off. I finally saw dirt coming off when I used the wash mit but I was having to apply pressure the entire time. Wish I would have bought the smaller size to try it first.

Over the years I've used all the brand name car shampoo at Canadian Tire and honestly they are ok!
I am totally amazed with how easy it was to take off all the big splatter and road grime with this shampoo. It made washing the bike easy and once it was dry the bike looked like it was right out of a showroom. My ride is 7 years old btw.
Great shampoo. I totally recommend it and will definitely purchase it again.
