Krytox oils and greases are based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oils. This series of synthetic fluorinated lubricants are used in extreme conditions, such as high temperatures up to 204 °C (400 °F), and will survive short-term peak temperatures of up to 220 °C (429°F). Chemically inert and safe for use around hazardous chemicals, these lubricants are nonflammable and also safe for use in oxygen service. Krytox oils and greases do not damage plastics or elastomers, nor cause corrosion to metals. They are commonly used as lubricants in aerospace, automotive, industrial, and semiconductor applications, as well as in solving many other routine lubrication problems. In addition, they provide exceptionally long lifetimes in sealed-for-life bearings and extend re-lubrication intervals in bearings that require re-lubrication.
Biologically Inert While Retaining High Temperature and Pressure Stability
Krytox oils and greases are silicone free. They do not contain any VOC materials or chlorine, and are not hazardous to the atmosphere or ozone layer. They are biologically and environmentally inert.
The fully fluorinated Krytox high-temperature stability provides bottom-line savings from improved reliability, and a reduction in grease usage and manpower through extended re-lubrication intervals. Excellent film strength reduces wear to reduce maintenance costs. Under high loads, the viscosity increases to provide support and absorb the pressure.

NLG1 Grade 2. Krytox GPL205 contains no additives and can be used on components that may come in contact with all chemicals including acids, bases, solvents and other reactive chemicals. This is still an excellent lube for mechanical keyboard switches, the only difference is that this is significantly thicker than grade 0, so you need to use even less lube.
Lubing switches is already a "less is more" event, so for this lube, you need to hit that "There's no way that's enough lube" point to actually be the required amount of lube.
I used these to lubricate Cherry Silent Reds, aka Pinks. If you all are familiar with Cherry switches, they are VERY scratchy. And with the Silent Reds, the scratchy sound is very pronounced because the rest of the switch is so quiet. Not only can you hear the scratch, but you can actually feel it through your fingertips.
Since this is 205g2 and a lot thicker than 205g0, I decided to be VERY conservative in my application. For perspective, 205g2 has a consistency/viscosity akin to Neosporin on a cold morning.
I got the 0.5 oz tube. After fully lubricating my 60% keyboard, I used maybe 0.1oz. Yes, I still have more than 80% of the tube remaining.
How I applied the lube? I used a fine brush. I put enough lubricant on the brush to get the brush shiny, with no lubricant visible other than the sheen of the brush. I brushed the base rails and spring holder. I brushed the spring. I brushed the stem rails and switch actuator prongs.
So what were the results? Simply Amazing! This is now the quietest keyboard I have ever used. Every once in a while, I hear a very subtle thock every once in a while when I bottom out a key, especially the space bar. But the thock is subdued by the Silent Reds, and it's such a pleasing sound...think ASMR. The biggest concern I had with using this lubricant was that the keys would become sluggish, as it is thicker than I wanted. With my very conservative application, I am experience no sluggishness or resistance. Keys are popping back up as fast as I need them to, and there is no mushiness.
From one keyboard enthusiast who used a VERY conservative amount of this lubricant on my Cherry Silent Reds(pink) switches, I can tell you...get this lubricant if you are needing some high quality dielectric lubricant for your switches. I am confident that I could lubricate FIVE 60% keyboards with just a 0.5 oz tube. That's 4 dollars of lubricant per keyboard at current prices. Well worth it in my opinion. I couldn't be happier. I am currently using my freshly lubricated keyboard to write this review, and I have never been so satisfied typing.
My only real complaint is that it's pricey for a small tube. Also, mix it with the cap closed as it tends to separate slightly over time.
I will update the review a couple of months from now, report on how it's held up after a few washes and rainy spells. That's really the only way that the price of this product will make any sense, if it provides a long term or semi-permanent repair for my 13+ year old seals...
