UPDATE: I attempted a reorder of these bulbs, and for some reason the order went to SupaDealOnline. They sent something other than the Martek bulbs that are described here, and my experience matched the description provided by David J Banks (below). I am returning those bulbs as "not what I ordered/not what was described." Be careful that you get the Martek bulbs, as described here. Otherwise, you may be disappointed.
I have been looking for a LED replacement for my 12V - 25W Edison-style incandescent bulbs for my boat. I have been casually looking for a couple of years, never to find a bulb that had a 360-deg illumination. All others that I found are 180-deg, which do not illuminate in the direction of the fixture, leaving it dark in that direction. I found these online, and ordered one to test. Here are some of my comments:
Martek provides a spec sheet (I posted it here) that says that these bulbs are A15 size, rather than A19 (2-3/8 dia), as advertised here on Amazon. I measured my bulb, and it is more like an A16 (2-in dia). This was a concern to me, because I have clip on sconce shades. The clip still works, so no problem. You need to know that these bulbs are smaller than the standard A19.
Another concern that I had was the rated CRI of 75.Read more ›
Great for emergency lighting - put it in a table lamp - replace the plug with some hippo clips and you're ready for the next hurricane.
I'ts brighter than a 12 watt flourescent CFL - and it looks like a real light bulb
Many buyers won't have a use like mine, and these lights might be fine for them, but not so much in a decorative setting.

Bought 4 of these. 3 have worked fine but one started flickering badly after a couple of months. Too expensive to have problems so fast. 50,000 hours life...not likely.Published 1 day ago by Steveg
Description said warm 3000k,but light was clearly cool white. Description included mention of both - deceptive. Beyond the color, the bulb at times flickered. Read morePublished 19 days ago by Amazon Customer
