I have enjoyed Chicken Soup for the soul has and it has truly been a blessing to me over the years. When I became a new Christian, reading the many different serious encouraged my walk with Christ.
God bless you and may He continue to use you and others for His glory. Maybe one day I will submit one of my own stories and encourage a soul along the way.
I found myself wishing too often that I'd learned some of these lessons when I was raising my daughter, but there is no going back now. It seems that these moms are very Christ-centered, spiritual women, and their children are very much like them. Loved the little girl who prayed for the old truck to start. I'm thinking that maybe the next Chicken Soup book I should read is the one about dysfunctional families! I have always felt that a large number of families are at least slightly dysfunctional. I think I want to read about how wild and crazy home life can be at times. Then I might feel more of a sense of kinship with the authors. The women in this book have their flaws, but they are also on the saintly side.
Here she is one of many contributors --- and almost all of the stories here are wonderful! Buy this book for a dose of daily encouragement. If you're like me --- I often wonder if I'm failing as a parent and as a person. Maybe we all do?
This book is hugely encouraging and I plan to re-read it often. Great value for a book you'll read and enjoy!
