Like this product very much. Just ordered my second one. First one lasted 5 years. Cutting edge popped out of channel and I can't get it back in.

This is a sturdy cardboard box and the wrap is fairly easy to install. Though there is no tab or latch holding the two parts together, I have never had a problem with it separating. I store it upright, in a cabinet door mounted holder and it works fine.

I like this well enough to get a replacement. It is so much better than fighting with the flimsy boxes plastic wrap comes in. And this blade is never gonna scrape your knuckles, or bite you when you aren't looking. Also, while the edges of the roll can get stuck, if you notice it and fix it right away, I found it a minor annoyance.

Issues:
1. The edges of the roll of plastic sticking/tearing is a nuisance
2. If you don't buy ChicWrap's plastic wrap (which I never have) be careful: If you get a jumbo roll of wrap (like from CostCo), it may not fit. You can use the box it comes in until the diameter of the roll has shrunk enough to fit, but who wants to do that?
3. You need to protect the little blade--if it is hit sideways, it can pop out. I fixed my first one a couple of times (I drop things a lot) but finally can't repair it. I think 5 years is a reasonable life span for a cardboard box.

Very glad to have this tool in my kitchen--might get their parchment paper box, too.

Ideal for storing cling film and being able to cut easily. Am on to my second refill which was easy to load and have not yet needed to use the replacement cutter as first is still good. Only issue is that as you use the clingfilm the weight obviously lightens and so the "box" has a tendency to lift out of the holder when you are pulling out the clingfilm. Have tried to hold the two together with a rubber band each end, but they keep snapping. Would still recommend.
