When Mark Meadows became President Trump’s fourth chief of staff on March 6, 2020, life in the United States had never been better. Unemployment was at an all-time low, and the stock market was at an all-time high. During his first three years in office, President Trump had kept more of his campaign promises than any president in modern history, and that record of success was only going to continue. Then, in what seemed like the blink of an eye, a deadly coronavirus arrived on our shores, and brought the Trump economy screeching to a halt. Suddenly, our streets were empty, and our hospitals were full. Millions of Americans were scared, lonely, and unemployed, all while the global economy teetered on the edge of collapse. President Trump and his team worked tirelessly to keep the country going and get a vaccine to the American people. In this frank, candid account of his ten months in the White House, Mark Meadows—known simply as “The Chief” around the West Wing—tells the story of how he and a close team of loyal advisors helped President Trump navigate one of the worst years in American history.

I've read probably over 50 books on President Trump's White House and many refer to his relationship with his cabinet members and staff in The White House. "The Chief's Chief" by Mark Meadows brings us right into the Oval Office with Trump at the helm. Trump's ability to communicate with people shows us how professional he is and he keeps it "all business". The man gets the job done. Things happen. Results are the mode of the day in each and all meetings throughout the day. President Trump is the hardest working President in the history of The United States of America. Trump's relationship with his Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows who kept things moving from one subject to the next without waste of time. It's a fact that is well documented every hour and every minute that Trump spent in The White House. He is famous for burning the midnight oil until the wee hours. Therefore, President Trump is prepared on any day and any time of day to answer questions directly to the press waiting for him to board Marine One. We've seen it on any news station hundreds of times. Trump's Chief of Staff is; the man who keeps everything in order, Mark Meadows was President Trump's, right-hand man. An invaluable asset to any President. Only, in this case, Meadows and Trump had a "magic" by thinking alike and acting on issues immediately for the boss. It takes a team, working together to get things done and Meadows's job was demanding; in this book, one will learn what it was like working that close to President Trump day after day; Well worth the read. It is short and gets right to the point. I recommend everyone interested in what happens inside The White House and inside; meetings The President has daily. The American people knew about the many hours Trump worked and how hard he worked to stay on top of every issue and there are many, to say the least. Read for yourself. It's worth your time during your busy day. Learn how Trump kept organized alongside his "Chief of The Chief".

Okay. I know this was written by one of Trump's biggest fans and not by a supposedly unbiased journalist. But we all know there is no more unbiased journalism in America. So many of those other books about Trump, which make him almost look like a lunatic, are based on rumor and one-sided reports of what happened at the White House, just as one-sided as this book is.

Don't believe what Mark Meadows writes if you don't want to believe him. But don't believe any of the "nonsense" (See the old David Steinberg routine for the true meaning of that word) that comes out of the negative Trump books either.

Mark Meadows relates, with feeling and candor, various events from that last year in the Trump White House. He is a humble participant in these events. And his perspective is vital for all of us to read.

And, yes, he does explain eventually why he still thinks plenty of evidence exists to challenge the legitimacy of Biden's election in 2020. People I have spoken with who ridicule that perspective as much as does the media have not bothered to listen. What they don't know about it boggles the mind.

I'm not here to assert that the 2020 election was rigged, though media bias against the Trump campaign is obvious at the very least, but to plead with anybody who still distrusts Trump to read Mark Meadows' account of working for the man.

Don't just believe what people write about him without reading opposing viewpoints.

Read this book.

Mark Meadows has done a phenomenal job of bringing the last months of the Trump administration to light, the incredibly difficult job of the President's Chief of Staff, the uncanny humor of 45, and the strength, resolve, courage, and determination the 45th President of the United States delivered every single day of his presidency to make sure citizens under his watch slept easy at night.

If the truth had been reported by the mainstream media, every citizen of this great country would understand how much President Trump accomplished in a mere four years. Meadows minced no words to reaffirm exactly what transpired over those years, and especially the last year when Meadows was Trump's right-hand man, when the mud-slinging was aimed at him as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, even though the lies spewed to the American people by mainstream media were much worse than I ever imagined. Mark Meadows was an extraordinary Chief of Staff to an incredible Chief.

Someday, the world will come to understand all 45 accomplished, the strength and power he brought back to America and the American people. History will prove he indeed made this country great again. Imagine what he could have accomplished if he'd been given the next four years.

Well done, Mr. Meadows. Well done.

Just finished the book. Yes, I read it attentively all the way through. I consider myself an independent but have a LOT of friends who are staunch Trump believers, and this book gave me a better understanding of how they see the world. It’s quite interesting to see all the ways in which a fundamentally good person’s perspective can be shaped by the narratives they allow themselves to hear - and the lengths they will go to in order to defend their perspectives in the face of clear evidence to the contrary.

I do have to feel sorry for the author. He seems to be in the throes of an extreme bromance - his book is filled with praise of Trump, echoing his every expression and sound bite, and casting every action in the most favorable light - and what happens? His idol turns on him for the one anecdote that got the attention of the press. It will be fascinating to see what happens next.

Started reading this before going to bed, never went to sleep! Mark shares his perspective of working for the American people. Yes, he reported to the President, wasn't his fault President Trump worked for the American people as well. A GREAT look at what it takes to be the most hated and attacked administration just because We the People were given top priority - something the DC swamp had been feigning for years while simultaneously lining their bank accounts and wealth by protecting special interests. This is evident by politicians becoming very wealthy while President Trump's net worth declined; is evident by the American people never realizing their full potential at all levels until they had a President that shifted the power out of DC and placed it where our Constitution says it should be, with We the People who are preparing at every level for Trump's return. Thank you Mark for sharing everything in this book... God Bless and Protect the USA.

1.0 out of 5 stars I’m very humble, but perfect, just like my friend, leader of the free world, President Trump is.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 22, 2021
This is about the most tedious memoir I have ever read. It’s a blatant attempt by Meadows to stay in Trump’s good books in case he ever gets any power again. It’s rather like reading a bunch of Trump tweets that have been grammatically corrected and joined together by his despairing nursery school teacher. Don’t bother buying this book. If you like Trump it will say nothing new to you and if you don’t like Trump then you are going to despise Meadows by the end of the first chapter. Trump himself will think this is the best book ever, apart from the ones he “wrote himself” of course.
