THE CHILD WITHIN US LIVES! Visionary, Mystic and Philosopher William Samuel, pulls together the true nature of things, particularly time, space, matter and awareness (life). The result is a deeply meaningful perception of our original nature, the Child. Our true Self or still exists and is available to us now. Peace is the Child of God, three steps beyond government, two steps beyond religion and one beyond wisdom and metaphysics. Find a path back to the innocence of the original Selfhood. William Samuel has paved the path with heartfelt words that enable the reader to recognize and embrace the new way which, in reality, is as old as truth itself. --Letter from a student of Zen <br \><br \> --David M. Seeker and Joyful finder
William Samuel is the authentic voice of one who is free. Mr. Samuel tells us that there is an absolute CERTAINTY that everyone is being brought in linear time to RESDISCOVER the pristine, unblemished, guiltless original Nature of our true Selfhood. He is one of the few teachers in history to have ever brought together the entire scope of religious teachings, eastern or western, into one simple explanation of the nature of enlightenment. Mr. Samuel teaches in an especially beautiful, simple language that all can understand. He writes with authority, humor, and an extraordinary insight. This book answers so many questions about non-duality so that you can live the precepts in the world. No more denial of matter, but an understanding of this world of tangible things. You'll be transformed by this book. It is mystical and remarkable and more than that, it is truely a divine guide through the maze of non-dual intstructions we are bombared with today. Enjoy this wonderful book!

William Samuel was a remarkable teacher. Out of William's experience as an infantry officer, business man, philosopher and teacher have come the heart words of the book. You will find this book to be so much more than an acedemic compilation and comparison of ideas. This is filled with honest and clear teachings on Truth, non-duality and reality, identity,Illumination, time and space. This is not just theorizing about one's true identity, and life's perplexing mysteries, this is the real thing, where you will truly understand the marvelous reasons and whys of this world, and you find the way to Live as the Pristine Child that remains always your True Self and is unharmed and unhindered by the passing scene. William explains Awareness, Light, Mind, Consciousness, and Being. You will understand non-duality from a new view that shines on new perspective that is joyful and easy to find. This book charts a practical and livable course through the labyrinth of the objective science and religions into the mysterious state of the new sciences and metaphysics. And further, we are taken to the transcendence of such divisions in the discovery of our original nature, the Child within. Here is a working and proven metaphysics and non-duality that does not decry the realtiy of matter, but insists that matter be undestood as part of one's self-discovery in process. Scientist, religionists and non-dualists, Advaitists, all will appreciate this well written work that is filled with claifying analogies. --David M. Seeker and joyful finder --David M. About the Author
William Samuel, (September 2, 1924-May 22, 1996) was a prolific writer of truth, science, religion, and spiritual awakening. William Samuel was known as the teacher's teacher perhaps because so many teachers come to study with him. There was an inordinate number of philosophers, theologians, and members of the academe. In the later years there came physicists and mathematicians. It seemed to William that he would get the most earnest and dedicated students of Truth. Quite a number of Taoists and Buddhists had found William's message and came to study--even some who were called Masters. Many have gone from his study to become authors, writers and teachers. In some marvelous way his story has been found by the metaphysical and scientific elite of all the word--at least by a few. He said When it is told perfectly, my whole world will hear. In Mr. Samuel; We honor the Light that is Life, that every person is. We may very well appreciate a mirror that speaks to us with clarity and honesty--and we may consider that mirror unique among mirrors--but the authority lies with the awareness that looks into that mirror, and not the mirror. Although, Mr. Samuel did not embrace the idea of being called a teacher, saying I've been telling my own story--how it happened and what it has allowed me to understand--for over 30 years. That is not the same as being a teacher. illiam was a master teacher who has found a way to communicate honestly and clearly his insights on the Absolute and the premises of the metaphysical and Non-Duality.

William Samuel, from what I gather, was a real guy who killed people, witnessed people getting killed, lived it up with the Chinese and sat in the Great Silence. Not many Westerners got the opportunity to sit in the Great Silence.
William Samuel didn't even brag that he sat with Ramana Maharshi and that's impressive. Nisargadatta has spawned a gaggle of ex students who today publish show off books and claim they too are masters! William Samuel sat in silence with the Maharshi and he kept his mouth shut. Those who know do not speak!
So this book is a thick book of the mans musings on all things spiritual. There is much deepness going on in here and if I didn't know who it was, I would probably lose stamina. But when you know that this William Samuel was authentic, then you are kept interested.
There is much Gospel of Thomas in here and I think the child within is reference to something Jesus said in the Gospel.
So overall, here we have an authentic sage so the book is a must for all seekers!
Through Samuel's eyes, and ultimately our own, we find a Spirituality that by nature must be lived in the world while at the same time transcends our misunderstandings about ourselves and the world. Samuel makes clear what you probably already suspected -- that separating the spiritual from the mundane, and the observer from the observed cannot be accomplished without suffering, confusion, and ineffectiveness. He makes clear that the belief that we somehow own our experience and need to manipulate it for our benefit is no longer a melodrama we can afford -- individually or as a species.
For those coming from Eastern spirituality, Samuel remind us that these paths were never a prescription to reject a world of illusion, but rather an invitation to a revitalized engagement with a world clearly understood.
For those coming from Christian backgrounds, Samuel infuses the tradition with insights into the nature of Consciousness -- an element of Christianity too often overlooked. Samuel's Christianity is lived, learned, and alive -- an on-going process of revelation in action.
The book is chock full of original teaching stories and metaphors designed to reveal the nature of Consciousness and heal the schism between inner and outer, contemplation and worldly activity. As a central practice, Samuel recommends journaling those Glimpses of Truth we all have. By journaling we honor them and make room for more of them to enter our lives. Perhaps most importantly, Samuel honors the need for each of us to make our own inquiry and walk our own path if we are ever to truly own the insights of Spirituality for ourselves.
With Samuel as our guide, we discover Emptiness is Full and pregnant with new possibilities. We find that we can re-identify with the Child Within -- the Christ Child, the Life Force, the Source -- and contribute more freely and vibrantly to our world -- and vice versa.
In addition to books on Amazon, audio snippets can be found on Youtube and elsewhere on the web. It was hearing this man speak that first led me to read him. William Samuel changed my life. He may change yours.
That is my experience of this book, and more. it resolves unequivocally such neo-Advaita and spiritual-materialistic errors as, "Since I'm already the one consciousness, there is nothing to do." and "The body is not real, but please God heal this chunk of unreality." The discussion on the true meaning of "Render to Ceasar" etc. is worth the price of this priceless book--that is, if you want to truly unsuffocate the Child within and let it lead you to the mountaintop. Filled with practical approaches to living the Truth of what you are, so you can authentically be lived by Truth. After all, being lived by the truth is the end of crying and suffering. Have intellectual conclusions--no matter how deep, how brilliant, how unshakable-- brought crying and suffering to an end? If not, then this book is for you.
