Children of Darkness :Genesis (Nightmare Series Book 2 ) By Courtney Shockey
Children of Darkness : Genesis (Nightmare Series Book 2 ) By Courtney Shockey is the second book in her Nightmare Series. This is a short paranormal fantasy story, that will keep your attention to the very end.I was so into it I was little disappointed that I read it all in less than an hour.Im fastly becoming a huge fan of the paranormal genre.I really like this authors style of writing and her ability to grab your attention from the beginning and keeps you so entranced till the end. I literally felt like I was in the story,I could feel everything. I would suggest reading the first book in this series just because I really enjoyed it as much as this one. And I'm weird about reading series in order. The characters are both good and evil in this story, which I loved. This is the story of Ben,and he was created by Darkness and he's learning what powers he has.The one big problem is Darkness has no idea that he created a freaking beast . Underground is the playground and there are no rules even for Hell.Ben takes us on some twists and turns as he's showing us his powers and what they do.What does happen when Ben discovers his true powers.?There is lots of action in this short story so it's a must read.im not going to spoil it for you. I really enjoyed this book and I really look forward to reading more from this author.

The story Children of Darkness: Genesis (Nightmare Series Book 2) by Courtney Shockey is a fantasy book which is a wonderful read. It is the second book in a series. It gained my attention from the very beginning and held it throughout the entire story. It begins with the conflict between Darkness and another. It shows how they both interact with humans in situations. Then you read of the making of Ben by Darkness. You read of the pride that Darkness feels towards Ben and how he always wishes to protect him. However, there comes a time when Ben begins to change. Ben begins to create his own children and is fiercely protective of them just like Darkness is of him. Situations are escalating. War has broken out. What will the final outcome be? Who will be left standing? Will there be any consequences? Will Darkness be able to get Ben under control? This is a story that had me quickly turning pages to find out what happens next. It shows that unconditional devotion and pride of a creator for their creation and that they don’t want their creation to be destroyed. If you love stories of the paranormal you will love this book. I have read three stories by this author so far and have found that she is a wonderful storyteller who creates interesting characters. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series as well as the author’s other work. This book does contain some scenes that are unsettling and also scenes of violence. Hold on for a wild ride when reading this story!
I really wasn't sure with what to expect when I started reading this book, which means that I went in completely and utterly blind. And that was possibly the best thing I could have done for myself. Not knowing what I was getting myself into was a smart choice.
The way in which the story begins is extremely intriguing – what with it giving you a perspective of the beginning of time, and Darkness vs. Light. The choices that are made, and the consequences that those choices have.
I have to say that I was very impressed with the author and her ability to create such a world, that is and can be believable – as well as her character development. She did a great job describing and creating certain aspects and what the repercussions to those were.
It's kind of hard to give you a review without giving you the description of the entire book, so I'll try my best by telling you that this book deals a lot with good vs evil as well as those involved and the decisions that they make to either allow good or bad things to happen.
I will say however, that I've been enticed to continue reading more books by this author. I am more than curious to find out what else she has to offer me as her reader. I definitely give this book a 4 Star Review!
