This is a TERRIBLE book to get on Kindle. I've gotten numerous Kindle textbooks in the past with no qualms whatsoever. This book? It looks like a drunk monkey created the Kindle edition. The table of contents alone is ridiculous. They couldn't be bothered to even create titles that didn't run off the line or use spacing. The ToC is super hard to navigate just because you can't read it. They don't use page numbers either so you'll never be able to find anything. This is by far my worst Kindle purchase ever.

I can't comment on the quality of the book itself because I can't get past how terrible it is on Kindle.

I'm a psychology major, and this book has met my needs for my class, am in love with this book and I can see myself using this and reading this for years to come. I might even use it as a bed time book. Facinating stuff. What a wise investment.

Had to rent this for my college psych class. All of the tests came directly from the book, which wasn't bad since it was very simply written and not only easy to read but also fun and easy to learn from since there wasn't too much technical jargon.

I needed this book for one of my college classes. The college book store wanted a small fortune for this book. Even the book renting places wanted double what I found it for on Amazon. I thought this was going to be another boring college book, but surprisingly it has some really interesting information in it. I think I may actually keep this book for future reference.

As far as textbooks go, you can't ask for much better than those written by Mr. Santrock. I've had to buy several textbooks written by this author and he's always very thorough without going too in depth.

I'm already passionate about psychology but this book made it even better! It covers all the really important aspects of Child Psychology. It tends to focus a lot on obesity and the weight problem in America, but it's good to have the frequent reminder. Very helpful book with lots of real life stories that really help it all stick together in your mind.

This textbook has great up-to-date information. It has a little information on different career options for people who are interested in working with children. This book gave me a good foundation for child development.
