I got this for my Kindle so I would have a short but fun story on hand that my 6 year old and I can read together while waiting together (at an appointment, to pick up an older sibling, etc.) He liked it the first time through and asked me to read it again right away. He read it the next time himself and I think we will enjoy this story many times. It has the feel of Dr. Suess with the rhymes but also has a good message about helping each other and being kind.

I've been collecting this author's works since October 8th and I find that they are well done books such that they should satisfy all but a handful of the harshest critics. With exception of "My Dad is a Superhero" which didn't suit my personal taste (was somewhat repititious as another reviewer already mentioned) I'm including a list of her works I own that I've enjoyed in the past, as well as one that is currently free (last I looked) with which you can start your own collection. My apologies since the review will be the same for all 4 books to date, although there will be atleast one different title mentioned in each review and I will add new books to the review as I purchase them.
"The Day Lady Lost Her Spots" is currently free as of 10/25/2013 (not a rhyming book, however)

Other titles I own include:

"Puppy's Quest: A Fun, Rhyming ABC Adventure", "Bear Learns to Share" and "The Little Duck and the Great Big Pond"

Feel free to browse all my reviews for other childrens books, comic books, YA books and more. Enjoy!

***UPDATE*** Am honoring my promise and adding "The Little Toy Unicorn" by Lily Lexington which is free as of 12/17/2013. For my final revision to this review, I am including seven free children's books you may enjoy as a day after Christmas special. Merry Christmas!

1) My Grandparents Big Bang by Ahmad Amani 11 reviews
2) A Different Princess: Pirate Princess by Amy Potter 12 reviews
3) Love and Learn by Rachna Srivastava 9 reviews
4) Pat's Wish by Wade Faubert 5 reviews
5) The Spotless Leopard by Rachael Long 4 reviews

This is a wonderful story about a mean fox who gets in a pickle and has an epiphany. The rhymes are fun and I plan to have a blast reading it with my 3 year old niece. The illustrations are really well-done. Finally there's a great lesson with a wonderful like lesson for little kids. Glad I bought it!

I really enjoyed this book--finally, a children's book that has a great flow, excellent illustrations AND a good lesson about compassion and helping others. This book is one that will get read over and over because of how well it flows and because of it's great moral content. My wife and I often watch our nieces and nephews when their parents need a break, and this book has become their favorite! Also, it's refreshing to read a rhyming book that actually rhymes without made-up words and has a natural rhythm. Highly recommended.

It was okay. Cute rhymes, but a fox who turns vegetarian? Why would I want to teach my child that a fox is "mean" just because it's a fox? Young children might not need all the gory details about carnivores in the wild, but telling them that a predator is "mean" because it eats meat seems silly. Bribing a wolf with berries is pretty bizarre also. There are too many well-written books that teach real lessons. I will be looking for more children's books that teach the basics, like animal names, colors, etc. or if I really want stories about animals that contain lessons, I guess I could go to Aesop's fables.

So the wife and I were babysitting for some friends and wanted to pick up a couple Kindle books to read in the evening for a the 3 year old. This book proved to be a big hit. She absolutely loves this book, "The Tale of the Fox and the Terrible Wolf," the BEST. In fact, its funny, she keeps wanting us to read it to her over and over again. The story is told in rhyming fashion of a fox that is in trouble and how he gets out of it. There is a lesson about sharing and the illustrations are vibrant and well done. Cute story and a clever enjoyable read.

Very cute children book, about a Fox who hasn't been good and some other animals trying to help him with this problem but scared of him. He learns to be good thanks to them.

Ok to read before sleeping :) The images were cute.

My children and I both loved the Tale of the Fox and the Terrible Wolf! We read it four times right away and it has now become one of my children's favorites! The rhyming is charming and a fun read for adults, and the story is a classic tale of friendship. The illustrations are fun too!

My family highly recommends this book!
