I love the name of the mouse, WILSON-CAN, and the way that the author repeats many times that WILSON CAN DO EVERYTHING, which means that my daughter can do everything too. Now she is telling me all the time that she can do everything by herself. From brushing her hair, to brushing her teeth and putting on clothes, she knows now that just as WILSON CAN, so she can.
Fantastic idea, easy to read and understand the message of the book. I highly recommend it to any parent, because who would not want that their children will become self-reliant in life!
I'm looking forward to see more titles from the author.
At the end of the story is a web link to some Wilson-Can coloring pages. I'm not very good at keeping the colors between the lines, so I didn't try it.
Wilson Smith aka Wilson-Can is a cute little mouse who when confronted with little challenges gets reinforcement from his mom that Wilson can do everything - with a bit of guidance and subtle teaching. Sivan Zimmerli writes with a beautiful simplicity and Mario Tesero provides superb illustrations that bring Wilson-Can to life.
The final message? Children can do everything by themselves - after a bit of loving coaching from the adults around them. This is a very well done book on all levels. Grady Harp, May 13
This was a pleasure to read and I look forward to more work by this author.
Can you brush your teeth and hair?
Or bathe all on your own?
A patient mom is all you need
When trying this alone

I liked the things he did wrong because they were funny.
My mum liked it too.
