My four year old enjoyed the book, but the grammatical errors and missing words made it a bit hard to read out loud because it didn't flow well.

The only redeeming thing about this book is the illustrations. They are kind of cute, in a primitive sort of way. But the story is horrible. The book is full of grammatical errors and awkward sentences. The vocabulary level is way beyond the story's apparent target age. My 3 year old enjoyed looking at the pictures on the kindle, but got bored very quickly with having it read to her. I can't say I blame her. I'm glad it was a free download, or I would have felt really ripped off.

Editors, people. Hire editors when you write and publish books. Seriously. Then maybe you won't have to give them away for free.

This book shows true friendship. Such a appropriate book for our family. I have always told my kids being different is no big deal. It's what is on the inside what matters.

This book was so cute and I liked the story and the moral behind it. This is a very nice story with bright, beautiful illustrations. Young kids would enjoy reading it.
The characters are lovely, well written. JUST Great!!!

The two characters Little Caterpillar and Cricket are both having trouble making friends and they find each other and become true friends. The caterpillar turns into a butterfly one night and they remain friends. The book is obviously written by an author with English as a second language and needs polished with an edit by an English native speaking editor to make it shine.

And it is a concept I am trying to help my 5 year old son grasp. This was short, to the point, sweet and very colorfully and nicely illustrated. He grasped it well and enjoyed it so much that now he wants me to read it every night :-) this is only a 4 star because it was scanned in and not a real e-book so if you have a small device it may be difficult to read.

Grig and the Caterpillar is as advertised: a beautifully illustrated children's book. The story unfolds as all caterpillar stories do, the worm become a beautiful butterfly. But on the way the young reader learns that appearances aren't as important as the heart. By using the smallest text setting I was able to get the pictures on the same page as the text but for most Kindles the text will likely come on a separate screen from the picture screen. Nonetheless, the pictures are very beautiful and the story is timeless and something very good for bedtime or anytime.

This was a good story! It teaches children about how to respect others feelings and how words can truly hurt someone's feelings. I like that the book addressed beauty in a way children can understand. Very good illustration!
